Existing data will be supplemented by targeted data gathering from the industry.
Details will include the range of feeds used, production rates achieved and manure treatment, storage and utilisation.
In addition to conventional concentrate feeds, the use of by-products requires particular attention.
Suitable applicants will have a First or Upper Second Class UK Honours degree, or equivalent, in agriculture, agricultural economics, operational research or related discipline.
Mathematics and computing skills, including Excel and VBA, are also desirable.
Open to UK, EU and International students.
This studentship will provide a bursary of up to £12,500 for one year dependent upon qualifications, experience and project.
