Funded PhD Opportunities, Human Rights Study, Queen's University Belfast - UK

Human Rights Centre Scholarships

Queens University Belfast is delighted to announce two new scholarships in the area of human rights.

1. Human Rights and Human Migration - Human Rights Centre Scholarship

The Human Rights Centre in the School of Law at Queen’s is offering a studentship in the area of ‘Human Rights and Human Migration’.

The studentship is designed for a suitably qualified person wishing to undertake research on the human rights implications of migration law and policy.

Students applying for this studentship should ideally have completed or be in the process of completing a Master’s degree in a relevant law-related discipline.

However, students with outstanding first degrees who can demonstrate evidence of relevant research skills and potential will also be given consideration.

The successful applicant will receive an award which will cover fees and a living allowance of up to £12, 000 per year.

2. Queen's University Belfast - GeorgeTown University Research Scholarship

In recognition of the links between Queen’s University Belfast and Georgetown University Queen’s is establishing a studentship in the area of Human Rights in Post-Conflict Societies’.

The studentship is designed for a suitably qualified person wishing to undertake research on a topic which falls within the theme ‘Human Rights in Post-Conflict Societies’.

Students applying for this studentship should ideally have completed or be in the process of completing a Master’s degree in a relevant law-related discipline.

However, students with outstanding first degrees who can demonstrate evidence of relevant research skills and potential will also be given consideration.

The successful applicant will be based in the Human Rights Centre at the School of Law in Queen’s and receive an award which will cover fees and a living allowance of up to £12, 000 per year.
