Purpose:

A project officer is needed to enhance the effectiveness, quality and create synergy in the program by designing and conducting training sessions and market linkage that will boost beneficiaries skills in alliance with organization’s core values.

Experience & Educational Qualifications:

  • Actively and intensively train and coach refugees and Ethiopian youth in the areas of life skill, business and career development skills;
  • Identifying the individual's skills and talents to facilitate a job/career and businesses of choices;
  • Identify and facilitate market linkages with private sector, and links with other relevant government entities and existing initiatives;
  • Intensively supervise and mentor the certified beneficiaries at their training institutions or in their efforts to get employment opportunities and start up their own business;
  • Designing and customizing training materials/manuals in the areas of life skill, business and career
    development skills;
  • Closely work together with finance and procurement department in order to coordinate and facilitate high quality of services to beneficiaries as well as partners;
  • Contribute to developing project ideas and proposals to scale up the project;
  • Any other tasks related to the objective of the project assigned by the supervisor.

    Job Requirements

    Qualifications and experiences

  • BA Degree in a relevant field;
  • Fluent in English, Amharic and Tigrigna language skill is a plus;
  • A minimum of 2- 3 years’ relevant professional experience in business and community development; and/ or job/business coaching, training and mentoring;
  • Has a good knowledge and valuable network with business community in Addis Ababa;
  • Has a sound of understanding of the challenges the refugee and Ethiopian youth face regarding employment and business;

  • Highly motivated and able to motivate beneficiaries to be active in developing their skills and confident in approaching the job market;
