Duties and Responsibilities
ECD Needs Assessment, Community Mobilization & Sensitization
Conduct ECD needs identification to prioritize interventions.
Mobilize and sensitize communities for participation and ownership.
Organize community structures to oversee implementation.
Hold regular meetings to inform on project progress.
Implementation of High‑Impact ECD Interventions
Develop multi‑annual, annual, and quarterly plans.
Plan and implement age‑appropriate interventions aligned with national frameworks.
Support establishment and strengthening of ECD centres.
Train and mentor caregivers, parents, and volunteers.
Promote inclusive participation, focusing on children with disabilities.
Strengthen community engagement and collaboration.
Supervise community structures to maximize impact.
Ensure accountable use of resources and compliance.
Support budget tracking, procurement, logistics, and asset management.
Community‑Based Sponsorship Management
Coordinate child registration, profiling, and enrollment.
Manage child data securely and accurately.
Facilitate sponsor–child communication.
Monitor child well‑being and development.
Work with families and community structures for holistic support.
Ensure quality and timeliness of sponsorship documentation.
Promote child dignity and protection in sponsorship processes.
Community Engagement & Partnerships
Mobilize and collaborate with community groups, churches, CBOs, and leaders.
Strengthen community participation and accountability.
Build capacity of local structures (parent groups, child protection committees).
Maintain relationships with government, private sector, and institutions.
Participate in partnership forums to share learning.
Promote sustainable, community‑led ECD initiatives.
Monitoring, Evaluation, Learning & Reporting
Track child development
milestones and indicators.
Conduct monitoring, supervision, and reflection sessions.
Collect and document data, best practices, and lessons learned.
Participate in evaluations, surveys, and programme reviews.
Maintain accurate records and documentation.
Prepare timely reports, updates, donor reports, and success stories.
Support visibility, advocacy, and knowledge‑sharing.
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Development, Education, Social Sciences, or related field.
Minimum 3 years’ experience in ECD programme implementation.
Experience in community mobilization and child sponsorship management.
Strong skills in training, mentoring, and capacity building.
Knowledge of child protection, nutrition, and positive parenting.
Experience working with government and community structures.
Excellent communication and reporting skills.
Languages
Fluency in English required.
Knowledge of local languages in Madi Okollo an advantage.
