Zetech University Software Engineering Jobs in Kenya

Duties and Responsibilities

Teach units allocated by the Head of Department.

Design, develop, plan, and deliver a range of programmes of study, including new courses at various academic levels.

Deliver high-quality lectures and practical sessions.

Assess student performance through examinations, coursework, and practical evaluations.

Supervise student research projects, dissertations, and clinical placements.

Review curriculum content and course materials regularly and update them when required.

Collaborate with academic colleagues on course development, curriculum changes, and research activities.

Conduct research and prepare research grant proposals.

Seek and participate in consultancy assignments.

Disseminate research findings through national and international conferences, scientific symposiums, and webinars.

Provide mentorship and career guidance to students and staff.

Perform any other duties assigned by supervisors or as outlined in the detailed job description.

Qualifications and Experience

Qualification – Senior Lecturers/Lecturers

Applicants must possess the following academic qualifications in the relevant areas of specialization:

PhD, Master’s, and Bachelor’s degrees in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, Business Information Technology, Data Science, Pure and Applied

Mathematics, or a closely related discipline from a recognized and accredited university.

At least three (3) years of post-qualification work experience.

Demonstrated potential for university teaching and research.

Commitment to high-quality teaching and fostering a positive learning environment for students.

Evidence of scholarly publications and participation in, or contributions to, academic conferences, seminars, and workshops.

Evidence of attracting research grants.

Registered or registrable with the relevant professional body, where applicable.
