Job Summary

We’re looking for a dedicated and personable Communications and Development Manager to serve as a main point of our contact in all matters relating to partners and leading our efforts in finding and securing funding opportunities. We are looking for a Communications and Development Manager who:

  • Operate as the lead point of contact for any and all matters specific to the stations existing and new clients.

  • Research and identify potential grant/funding opportunities from private, government and non-government agencies.

  • Assembles information including project nature, objectives/outcomes/deliverables, implementation, methods, timetable, staffing, budget, standards of performance, and evaluation. Presents proposals in creative or required formats. Obtains approvals by reviewing proposals with key stakeholders, including various program and executive-level staff within the organization

  • Developing proposals and supporting documents based on the requirements of the organizations.

  • Respond to internal and external queries on drafted and submitted proposals and maintains records and submit reports related to the grant to partners

  • Collaborating with staff to gather relevant information and data needed for grant applications.

  • Has excellent interpersonal skills with a demonstrated history of appropriately handling communication with donors.

  • Oversees partner account management, including negotiating contracts and agreements

  • Clearly communicating the progress of monthly/quarterly initiatives or project agreements to internal and external stakeholders

  • Prepares timely reports and account status for internal and external use

  • Prepares and gives presentations and progress report to both customers and internal teams

  • Provides professional correspondence and
    communication with partner organization on a timely manner

  • Develops a variety of proposals, concept notes, project briefs and reports to new and existing local and international partners and Assume any other responsibilities relevant to the position as assigned by supervisor

    Qualification

  • A minimum of BA degree in Sociology, Development Studies, Business Administration, Marketing, other Social Science or relevant field.

  • Minimum of 5 years relevant experience

  • Proficient in Microsoft office

  • Good command of the English language and written communication skills

  • Good proposal and report writing skills

  • Proficiency with customer relationship management

  • Good networking skills

  • Ability to multitask and prioritize projects as well as attention to detail

  • Proven work experience as a Communications and Development Manager, preferably for a Media company, or relevant role.

  • Demonstrable ability to communicate, present and influence key stakeholders at all levels of an organization.
