WWF Head Recruitment Jobs in Kenya; The Head of Recruitment provides strategic and operational leadership for recruitment across WWF International. The role is accountable for designing, leading, and continually strengthening a global, inclusive, and future-focused recruitment strategy, ensuring the organisation attracts, selects, and appoints talent aligned to WWF’s mission, values, diversity goals, and long-term workforce needs.

Operating with a high level of autonomy, judgement, and influence, the role partners closely with senior leaders, P&C colleagues, and external partners to ensure recruitment enables organisational effectiveness, equity, and sustainability.

Major Duties and Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership & Governance

  • Define and lead WWF International’s global recruitment strategy aligned with organisational priorities, workforce planning, DEI, and budgets

  • Act as senior expert and advisor on recruitment matters to Executive Leadership and Directors

  • Establish and improve recruitment policies, standards, and governance frameworks

  • Ensure recruitment practices are ethical, transparent, bias-aware, and compliant with legislation

    Operational Oversight & Delivery

  • Oversee end-to-end recruitment for roles across all levels, including executive appointments

  • Develop interview training programmes for hiring managers and coach them in best practices

  • Provide escalation support for high-risk or complex recruitments

  • Manage relationships with executive search firms and recruitment vendors

  • Partner with Finance and senior leaders to ensure recruitment reflects cost management and sustainability

    People Leadership

  • Lead, develop, and coach the recruitment team

  • Build team capability in inclusive hiring, stakeholder management, and data-driven decision-making

  • Set clear priorities, expectations, and development pathways for direct reports

  • Own hiring processes and ensure seamless onboarding across locations

    Diversity, Equity & Inclusion

  • Champion DEI in recruitment processes, ensuring diverse candidate pipelines and panels

  • Monitor and report on recruitment diversity data and KPIs

  • Challenge bias or misalignment with WWF values when observed

    Stakeholder Partnership & Advisory

  • Partner with senior leaders, Hiring Managers, and P&C teams to align recruitment with organisational needs

  • Launch initiatives to attract diverse talent and boost candidate engagement

  • Represent Recruitment as a strategic function within People & Culture initiatives

    Systems, Data &
    Continuous Improvement

  • Oversee Canopy recruitment module and enhance recruitment systems and workflows

  • Analyse recruitment metrics and labour market data to guide strategy and address talent gaps

  • Drive innovation in candidate experience, employer branding, and onboarding

  • Contribute to broader People & Culture projects and initiatives

    Profile

    Required Qualifications

  • University degree in relevant discipline OR Bachelor’s/Master’s in HR, Organisational Development, Psychology, Education, or related field (e.g., CIPD Level 5)

  • Minimum 7 years’ experience in People & Culture / Talent Acquisition, including executive-level recruitment

  • Strong understanding of organisational design, workforce planning, compensation frameworks, and DEI

  • Proven experience in complex international/INGO environments

  • Extensive experience using ATS platforms, LinkedIn, and executive search partners

  • Experience implementing recruitment-related data and reporting systems

  • Knowledge of labour laws across multiple jurisdictions and GDPR compliance

  • Proven experience automating and improving recruitment processes

  • Data-literate, with ability to translate insights into action

  • Strong organisational and project management skills

  • Fluency in English; knowledge of additional languages an asset
