WRA Community Engagement Officer II Jobs in Kenya; This is the entry and training grade for this cadre. An officer at this level will work under the guidance of a Senior Officer

Community Engagement Function

The cadre is responsible for engagement with communities through Water Resource Users Association (WRUA) and Basin Water Resource Committees, mobilizing resources and entering into strategic partnerships for Water Resources Regulation and Management

Duties and Responsibilities

Preparation of WRUA documentation for mobilization and sensitization on water resources

Consolidating WRUA registration documents and referring WRUA for registration

Updating WRUA registers and supporting WRUA data collection for publication

Assisting in monitoring and reporting of sub-catchment plan activities

Undertaking draft review of reports from WRUAs and stakeholders

Organizing meetings for WRUAs and partners

Documenting requests from WRUAs on revision of WRUA bylaws and constitution

Supporting in reporting of WRUA activities and progress

Job Specifications

Bachelor’s degree in any of the following disciplines: Sociology, Social Work, Development Studies, Community Development, Community Development and Environment, Project Planning & Management, Sociology & Anthropology, Gender & Development Studies, Environmental Science (Community Development), Disaster Management and Humanitarian Assistance or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution

Proficiency in computer applications
