The Child Protection Facilitator will provide grassroots project implementation, monitoring and documentation in the Child Friendly Spaces, Early Childhood Development Centres and the participation, psychosocial and peace building Project guided by WV Uganda Policies. The incumbent will also be responsible for the smooth, cost effective, efficient and timely implementation of CFSs, ECDs and participation, psychosocial and peace building project budget review and monitoring.


World Vision NGO Uganda Child Protection Facilitator - West Nile Jobs

Responsibilities

  • Motivate and ensure teamwork among Child Protection assistants and Volunteers for greater ministry impact, in the community
  • Work in liaison with and provide the necessary advice and support to stakeholders in the participation, psychosocial and peace building project, as well as the CFS and ECD programmes in all matters pertaining to effective management and implementation
  • Assist the Response Manager to handle visitors including donors, support offices and national office staff
  • Take full responsibility in the implementation of CFSs, ECDs and participation, psychosocial and peace building project in Adjumani operations according to the agreed plan of action
  • Actively coordinate project Design, implementation, monitoring and reporting
  • Coordinate with all agencies working in child protection and the Office of the Prime Minster in the camp to ensure compliance to inter agency and World Vision International standards for implementing child protection and Education in emergencies (CiE) as well as peace building activities
  • Organize meetings with key stakeholders in Adjumani to influence policies, planning and practice in line with the outcomes of the advocacy events
  • Implement and monitor project activities towards realization of project outputs in a timely and effective manner.
  • Monitor progress of activity implementation to ensure highest quality standards and accountability based on LEAP framework, the IASC and WVI standards

    Qualifications

  • The applicants should hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Peace-Building, Sociology, International Relations, Conflict studies or other related field.
  • A minimum of three or more years’ field experience working with Communities in Peace-Building and/or child protection programming and program management in an NGO context.
  • Past exposure and experience with integration / mainstreaming of peacebuilding and conflict-sensitivity across other programmes and projects is a plus.
  • Past experience in working with communities. Very strong communication skills
  • Working knowledge of humanitarian industry including sphere standards, NGO code of conduct and humanitarian charter
  • Excellent analytical, documentation, problem solving, interpersonal and negotiation skills
  • Possess the ability to work with different partners, local authorities, local organizations and NGOs, to develop and maintain positive relationships.
  • Cross-cultural sensitivity, flexible worldview, emotional maturity and physical stamina.
  • Ability to maintain performance expectations in diverse cultural contexts, psychologically stressful environments and physical hardship conditions with limited resources

    The Finance Assistant is responsible to support daily finance operation of Korean Grants Project in National Office includes but not limited to daily review of transaction, filing and document scanning.

    Responsibilities

  • Extract KOICA project expenditures in Sunsystems, identify vouchers, making photocopies, scanning and filing.
  • Review and follow up payments for KOICA Project Expenditure incurred that are paid in National office.
  • Extract transaction listing of KOICA project expenditures to confirm correctness. In addition, in consultation with Korea staff to make necessary correction.
  • Upload the confirmed scanned vouchers for the month unto the KOICA website.
  • Follow up on any issues related to KOICA
    Projects at the National Office: eg Donors Funding confirmations.
  • Support in the Semi Annual and Annual compilation of the financial documentation to be shipped to KOICA.
  • Obtain, scan and file monthly Bank Reconciliation and Bank Statement.
  • Make up excel-based final financial report of Korean grant projects.
  • Support other daily finance operation related to KOICA grant projects
  • Prepare reports and analysis upon requested by the supervisor or WV Korea office
  • Attend daily devotions and support spiritual development in the team.

    Qualifications:

    The following may be acquired through a combination of formal or self-education, prior experience or on-the-job training:

  • Must possess a Bachelors’ degree in either in Finance or Accounting
  • Must have basic knowledge in computer applications like MS Office and data base management
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Abilities in office administration and organization.
  • Should be accurate and organized at work.

    Qualifications

  • Exceptional relationship and influencing skills.
  • Exceptional intellectual ability - a clear strategic marketing thinker.
  • Significant experience in leading change in a complex environment.
  • 10-15 years in marketing, fundraising or related role, including 5-7 years at a senior management level with demonstrable success in achieving growth with experience in channel sales/fundraising and experience in partnership development (e.g. developing mutually value-added partnerships). Experience in developing partnerships with faith-based organizations (churches) a plus.
  • Ideally minimum 5 years of experience leading a marketing function within one of the largest World Vision Support offices and / or Minimum 7 years of experience leading a marketing function within a global organization.
  • Master’s degree or equivalent in strategy or marketing.
  • The post-holder must have an active Christian faith.
  • Strong marketing and strategy skills with working knowledge of change management principles.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and able to win the confidence of a broad range of different stakeholders including leaders from a variety of cultural and professional backgrounds.
  • Demonstrated ability to guide, edit and assure clear, brief and compelling written and visual communications. Ability to synthesize complex concepts for a wide variety of audiences.
