As a Grant Acquisition and Management (GAM) professional with World Vision, you will provide leadership in the resource acquisition and management of funding from government, multilateral and foundation grants to enable World Vision to increase its contributions to child well-being and strategic objectives through increased revenue in the key priority sectors. You will ensure resource diversification, strengthened donor networking and improved resource acquisition capabilities for World Vision.

Working closely with GAM team members and with technical specialists in each sector, you will be responsible for the implementation and coordination of grant acquisition processes, leading in pre-positioning, proposal development, donor liaison and will track grants acquisition performance metrics ensuring that accurate and timely project status information is consistently available.

Requirements

  • Degree in Development Studies, Social Science fields or related field; Masters is preferred.
  • 5 - 7 years of work experience in leading complex grants and programs. Significant experience of government donor relations and fundraising.
  • Working knowledge of major donors, such as USAID/OFDA/DoL, DFID, UN, AusAID, EC/ECHO, WFP, ADB/WB. Global Fund and other private donors.
  • Well informed on latest trends in grants sector. Deeper understanding in how proposal development and monitoring systems can be used for marketing purposes.
  • Leadership capabilities that includes coaching staff to high level of performance and engaging in effective cross cultural and cross functional working to achieve shared goals and effective indirect line management.
  • 25% domestic travel and international whenever required.
  • Fluency in English and additional language preferred.

    World Vision NGO Director of Channel Optimization and Development Job Vacancies in Ethiopia

    Responsibilities

  • Supporting strategies delivered by Child Sponsorship Marketing Director, Community Development Strategy Director, Fragile Strategy Director, Digital Director.
  • Design, champion and scale effective new partnership-wide channel performance metrics and measures to enable transparent comparative office performance management and learning.
  • Identify and effectively knowledge manage and communicate partnership-wide best practices towards improved audience engagement and sales performance.
  • Develop new B2C channels that enable WV to own the cost structure and audience reach that can be scaled globally.
  • Leading individual channel working groups across offices as required, inspiring channel centres of excellence within support offices going forward who will take up the role of global learning and collaboration for that specific channel.

    Requirements

  • Ideally minimum 5 years of experience leading a marketing function within one of the largest World Vision Support offices and / or Minimum 7 years of experience leading a marketing function within a global organization.
  • Master’s degree or equivalent in strategy or marketing.
  • The post-holder must have an active Christian faith.
  • Strong marketing and strategy skills with working knowledge of change management principles.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and able to win the confidence of a broad range of different stakeholders including leaders from a variety of cultural and professional backgrounds.
  • Demonstrated ability to guide, edit and assure clear, brief and compelling written and visual communications. Ability to synthesize complex concepts for a wide variety of audiences.
  • Experience of working in a global and multi-cultural environment.
  • Supportive and influential engagement with senior partners internally and externally, including leadership groups and peer directors.

    Requirements

  • Demonstrated experience working with and managing virtual teams.
  • Requires leadership, business knowledge, communication and negotiation skills and experience/in-depth knowledge of relevant IT discipline involving implementation and support across multiple countries.
  • Whilst other languages may be an advantage, ability to communicate in English both verbally and in writing is required.
  • Willingness and ability to travel domestically and internationally as required.

    Requirements

  • 10+ years ever increasing leadership experience in relief and development and/or the for-profit sector.
  • MBA, MPH, MA/MS or equivalent experience.
  • Fluency in English required. Fluency in French, Spanish, Arabic or Portuguese required for some locations.
  • Previous life/work experience in the host country or region preferred.
  • Able to travel approximately 25+ %, including international travel.
  • An experienced INGO leader who has served successfully at the country director level or higher.
  • A CEO or senior C-suite executive of a multinational corporation, preferably with Marketing or business development experience.

    Duties

  • Direct and oversee the program implementation.
  • Manage program budget.
  • Identify and promote clear communication on issues of budget management and programmatic activities, compliance and documentation.
  • Establish and maintain effective project communication systems and knowledge management including reporting, assessment and evaluation.
  • Coordinate with other WV and/or USG funded in-country program and partners to ensure enhanced integration and synergies.
  • Develop and maintain an adequate human resource plan consistent with WV policies, donor requirements (such as A-110, A-122, A-133, 22 CFR 211, etc.) and local laws. Ensure and invest in proper technical capacity of the program staff to
  • manage complex USG funded projects.
  • Communicate with donor on program progress as needed.
  • Hold responsibility for overall commodity management of the program, including monetization.
  • Evaluate program performance and determine management plan needed to improve goal achievement by participating and conducting agricultural and health surveys, operations research studies, and rapid appraisals.

    Requirements

  • Master’s degree in related field or equivalent qualifications in grant management and work history in developing countries.
  • Minimum of 7 years of overseas international management experience, preferably in administering USDA and/or USAID program, with at least 3 years of experience overseeing USG Title II food aid programs.
  • Proven ability to manage technical assistance teams and sub-grants.
  • Experience of leading large and diverse teams.
  • Experience in leading and managing large grants in a complex environment.
  • Experience as a CoP/PD or senior expert advisor required.
