World Vision National Director Jobs in Ghana;The National Director (ND) will strategically lead, develop, and direct the implementation of World Vision Ghana’s Strategy, aligning with Government of Ghana priorities and World Vision’s global “Our Promise.”

The role ensures high ministry quality, organizational effectiveness, and maximized impact on child well‑being outcomes, while stewarding resources wisely.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the implementation of World Vision Ghana’s FY26‑30 Operations Strategy to empower 2.5 million vulnerable children

  • Provide strategic leadership locally and represent Ghana globally within the World Vision Partnership

  • Ensure operations maintain focus on child well‑being outcomes in Ghana’s context

  • Lead national resource development, fundraising, and partnerships with government, private sector, church, and local stakeholders

  • Collaborate effectively with the WV Ghana Board, partnership offices, and divisions

  • Position WV Ghana as a learning centre on localization and manage locally acquired awards to donor expectations

  • Foster collaboration with donors, project partners, government, and NGOs to maximize stewardship and efficiency

  • Model Christian leadership, ministry, and integrity; provide spiritual guidance to staff

    Qualifications

    Education

  • Master’s degree in Development
    Studies, International Development, Management, Administration, Social Sciences, or equivalent (required)

    Experience

  • 12–15 years’ experience managing operations of a country office or organization with 200+ staff and $20M+ annual budget

  • 10+ years’ experience overseeing large government grants, acquisition, and donor engagement

  • Proven track record of leading multi‑cultural teams in complex, sensitive contexts

  • Experience in fundraising, advocacy, public relations, and generating local revenue

  • Experience in Relief, Development, and/or Emergency Ministries; familiarity with all three

  • Politically astute with strong negotiation skills

  • Understanding of Ghana’s political, socio‑economic, and cultural context within 3 months of assuming role

  • Strong ICT skills, including Microsoft applications and management information systems

    Travel Requirements

  • Domestic travel: 30% (regular internal travel to project areas)
