Major Responsibilities
Private Sector & Faith‑Based Investment Engagement
Lead advocacy engagement with faith‑based investors, business actors, and ESG/sustainability networks, including participation in the Child Lens Investing Framework (CLIF).
Cultivate strategic partnerships with private sector actors, impact investors, and innovative finance players to accelerate systems change for children.
Develop organizational positioning and influencing strategies with private sector actors, including engagement plans and stakeholder mapping.
Align influencing work with Global GAM fundraising plans to ensure coherent external propositions.
Collaborate with Global Policy and Influence team to quality assure content for private and blended finance audiences.
Coalition Engagement
Serve as relationship manager for 1–2 strategic global coalitions or networks.
Negotiate and operationalize strategic plans, broker opportunities for amplifying children’s voices, and facilitate engagement of WVI leaders.
Capture learning from partnerships and coalitions, translating insights into practical guidance.
Identify opportunities to leverage coalitions to influence global financing agendas affecting children.
Thought Leadership & Capacity Building
Provide insights and thought leadership on private and blended finance engagement.
Scan relevant influencing spaces to ensure global partnering remains grounded in locally led approaches.
Collaborate with WVI staff across teams to align efforts and build organizational capacity.
Contribute to capacity building efforts and coordinate content sharing across partner portfolios.
Required Knowledge & Qualifications
Master’s or Doctoral degree, MBA or equivalent in Business, Finance, International Development, International Relations, Public Policy, Economics, or related field.
Minimum 10 years’ experience in partnership management, private sector engagement,
or business development with expertise in private finance, faith‑based investment, ESG/sustainability, or impact finance.
Familiarity with innovative finance modalities (blended finance, social impact bonds, microfinance).
Experience engaging private companies, investors, or financial institutions.
Proven lobbying and policy influence experience.
Track record of building and managing high‑level external relationships.
Strong interpersonal, relationship‑building, and communication skills.
Experience coordinating across complex, matrixed organizations.
Proficient in Microsoft Office tools and familiarity with AI tools such as Copilot and Claude.
Preferred Qualifications
Expertise in Child Lens Impact Investing (CLIF), faith‑based investing, or Christian philanthropy.
Experience in livelihoods, resilience, food systems, or climate.
Senior management experience in private or investment sector.
Experience working in Christian organizations.
Negotiation and facilitation skills; familiarity with collective impact approaches.
Language Requirements
Fluency in English (spoken and written).
Fluency in French, Spanish, Portuguese, Arabic, or Mandarin an added advantage.
