Job Responsibilities

Technical Support in Programme Planning

  • Participate in designing and implementing monitoring frameworks to track delivery against programme objectives.

  • Organize and facilitate strategic/multi‑year plans and budgets with programme team and partners.

  • Review and update logframes, M&E plans, indicators, targets, and detailed implementation plans.

  • Support development of work breakdown structures for MEL activities.

  • Assist finance team to ensure realistic scheduling of MEL activities and budgets.

  • Document programme geographical coverage and produce RS/GIS activity maps.

  • Design tools and guidelines for data collection, analysis, and reporting.

  • Support programme design (assessments, research) and production of LEAP‑aligned proposals.

    Technical Support in Implementation & Quality Assurance

  • Coordinate roll‑out and implementation of MEAL initiatives in programme sites.

  • Disseminate business processes for MEAL components to ensure consistency.

  • Develop and support implementation of MEAL annual calendars.

  • Conduct orientations for consultants and capacity building for project staff.

  • Provide technical support to staff and implementing partners.

  • Facilitate timely review and sharing of programme documents and reports.

    Monitoring, Reporting & Accountability

  • Establish and operationalize digital data collection and beneficiary tracking systems.

  • Coordinate routine monitoring for Kenya Big Dream Phase III.

  • Conduct technical field monitoring visits and report findings.

  • Collate, analyse, and synthesize monitoring data for decision‑making.

  • Ensure compliance with WV Kenya, GOK, and donor information systems.

  • Compile and submit programme management reports per WV standards.

  • Establish accountability mechanisms for complaints management and feedback.

  • Ensure secure storage of collected data in line with data protection policies.

  • Support compliance with donor and support office evaluation protocols.

  • Lead project compliance with MIS data entry requirements.

  • Ensure effective community complaints response mechanisms.

    Research, Learning & Knowledge Management

  • Support periodic reviews/evaluations using appropriate methodologies.

  • Document and share best practices, lessons learnt, and impacts.

  • Support learning partnerships with University of Nairobi and other partners.

  • Develop ToRs and
    manage assessment contractors for baseline, midline, and endline studies.

  • Coordinate learning agenda with support office.

  • Conduct M&E and research related to social norms and barrier analysis.

    Networking & Collaboration

  • Network and collaborate with relevant partners and represent WV in technical working groups.

  • Comply with and promote WV policies (Child & Adult Safeguarding, Whistleblower, Anti‑Fraud).

  • Build capacity of MEL staff in programme planning, monitoring, reporting, research, and QA.

    Qualifications / Work Experience

  • Academic Bachelor’s Degree in Social Sciences, Sociology, Economics/Statistics, Monitoring & Evaluation, Project Management, or related discipline.

  • Professional Certification in M&E or assessments (advantage).

  • Professional 2–3 years’ experience in programme design, implementation, monitoring, evaluation, and reporting.

  • Professional Experience in M&E system coordination/implementation in large INGOs or relief/development bodies.

  • Professional Experience with donor‑funded programmes and multilateral projects.

  • Professional Knowledge of child protection developments, research, and trends.

  • Professional Experience in data collection using ODK/Kobo, analysis, and interpretation.

  • Professional Computer literacy in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint; statistical tools (SPSS, Stata).

  • Professional Strong research, analytical, documentation, and participatory methods skills.

  • Professional Experience in child protection programme design and evaluation (advantage).

  • Professional Experience in social norms/behaviour change research (advantage).

  • Professional Must be a committed Christian able to provide spiritual leadership.
