World Vision Kenya Community Mobilizer - Health Jobs in Kenya;The Community Mobilizer – Health will support the implementation of the Global Fund Project at the sub‑county level, strengthening community awareness and sensitization for improved TB service delivery.
The role involves close partnership with communities, data collection and monitoring, capacity building, documentation, and ensuring effective use of resources.
Key Responsibilities
Planning & Implementation
Support implementation of Global Fund Project at sub‑county level.
Strengthen community awareness and uptake of TB services.
Partner with communities to influence decision makers.
Ensure TB standards and guidelines are implemented.
Identify gaps in TB programming and share information with project teams.
Ensure timely utilization of budgeted resources.
Data Collection & Monitoring
Monitor community‑led interventions through peer monitors and TB champions.
Implement, evaluate, document and disseminate promising TB practices.
Convene and support data collection meetings at sub‑county level.
Conduct monthly onsite data verification.
Compile activity reports and submit for review.
Collect community data (contact tracing forms, treatment interrupter forms, x‑ray vouchers, peer monitor reports, etc.) to support reporting.
Community Capacity Building
Mobilize community groups for trainings and sensitizations.
Build capacity of partners (peer monitors, superusers, support groups).
Lead community training and review meetings on TB and health issues.
Documentation
Document and share
deliverables, impact stories and human‑interest stories.
Ensure data collected is captured in TIBU platform.
Maintain repository of reports, photos and videos.
Share best practices at sub‑county, county, regional and national levels.
Required Qualifications
Diploma in Public Health, Nursing Sciences or Clinical Medicine.
Degree in Nursing Sciences, Clinical Medicine or Public Health an added advantage.
Minimum 2 years’ experience in health programming, preferably with Global Fund TB projects.
Result‑oriented, able to manage heavy workload and multiple demands.
Experience in public relations and strong team player.
Computer proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Strong communication, data collection and documentation skills.
Skills in local partnership engagement essential.
