World Vision Senior Director, Enterprise Architecture Job Opportunities in Kenya


Responsibilities

  • Develops a trusted advisor relationship with key clients and instils this competency within the Infrastructure organization.
  • Effectively communicates and forms partnerships with employees, partners and customers to improve IT operations, support local and global initiatives, and manage exectations therein.
  • Motivates, inspires and empowers peers, employees, partners and customers to drive effective, efficient and agile IT serivces and the business processes enabled by such services.
  • Establishes recruiting priorities while ensuring current employees are motivated and retained.
  • Teams with People & Culture (HR) to create the job descriptions, organinisational structure, competency profiles, skill profiles, and compensation plans.
  • Manages and rewards performance.
  • Teams with People & Culture to develop the Field Services career map.
  • Invests in employee training, ramping and certification programs.
  • Establishes employee communication and motivation programs.
  • Manages all aspects of budget and expenses.
  • Responsible for coordinating with Global Centre Finance and GICT on budget and expenses.
  • Creates the annual business plan and sets quarterly operating targets.
  • Invests in resources and infrastructure to develop repeatable, high quality business processes.

    Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science / Master of Science in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics or related field required or related professional / leadership experience, Masters Degree Preferred.
  • Experience in enterprise architecture execution in a globally distributed environment.
  • Technical skills necessary to create a vision, roadmap and key high level components of a business and technical architecture for World Vision.
  • Ability to recruit and build strong, customer oriented team members and mentor them to success.
  • Prior experience leading the change and improvement of a large, multi-national organization. The ability to add value by driving the effective execution of an organization's mission.
  • 12+ years of multi-national leadership experience.
  • 7+ years experience developing global enterprise architecture solutions.
  • 7+ years of executive level leadership (reporting to a "C" level).
  • Bachelors degree in IT, MIS, computer science or related discisplines.
  • Technical skills in the core functions for IT management: Enterprise architecture principals and related methodologies and processes, project management, IT security, and executive level communication.
  • Knowledge of systems and processes suitable for remote operations.
  • Use of business process and business intelligence to change and drive an organization.
  • Business management (including the financial aspects).
  • Technical systems or services (e.g. consulting).
  • IT department management across multiple countries with at least 20 staff.
  • Proven results in driving change in an organization.

    World Vision Director, Talent Management Job Opportunities in Kenya

    Responsibilities

  • Leads the global integrated talent management strategy including succession planning process across the partnership:
  • Provides leadership coaching and individually focused development support to selected leaders either as part of prgramme development (i.e. SLDP, Leaders Forum) or as part of talent career management.
  • Monitors talent (GL 18+) to build out talent awareness, profiles/plans and recommendation for next development steps (part of talent career management).
  • Drives talent exchanges and data sharing with P&C BPs in the GC, Support and Regional offices to open up talent conversations and break down silos – encouraging a ‘one partnership’ approach to leadership talent management.
  • Participate in various P&C cross functional projects as needed

    Qualifications

  • Master’s Degree in one of the following; Business Management, Education/Professional Education and Training; HR/Human Resource Development; Organizational Development.
  • Critical need for influencing skills working with executive and senior executives – exhibit proven experience and success in this area.
  • Understanding of World Vision’s ministry, National and Support offices focusing on key people/business integration and intersection points.
  • Successful ability to work through and in ambiguous and continuously changing environments.
  • Highly
    results oriented in strategy delivery.
  • Demonstrated expertise in building and maintaining strong, productive and mutually beneficial professional networks.
  • Deep understanding of organizational infrastructure, P&C strategic direction, People and OD practice challenges, trends and best practice within this industry and professional services type organizations.
  • Clear understanding of integrated talent management, succession planning and coaching skills with evidence of effective application across international contexts and cultures.
  • Exceptionally strong interpersonal, influencing and communication skills, especially with credibility at senior executive levels (C-suite), and capacity to adapt effectively across WV’s different operating units.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, both oral and written, and ability to convey information effectively, write persuasively in a variety of styles for a variety of audiences, and communicate cross-culturally and within inter-faith settings.
  • Able to develop and maintain professional relationships (internally and externally) at leadership levels.
  • Minimum 10 years’+ experience providing consulting or coaching to senior leaders senior business partnering (eg Regional P&C level), with significant experience in roles with a global remit.
  • Broad HR experience to be able to make linkages between talent and succession planning and broader people and culture agenda.

    World Vision Senior Monitoring and Evaluation Advisor Opportunities in Kenya

    Responsibilities

  • Contribute to regional and NOs strategy alignment and provide expert leadership for DME strategic approaches.
  • Collate and share with regional SMT strategic, concise and timely results on all NO programme baselines, semi-annual and annual programme outputs and inputs, evaluations and programme implementation quality review.
  • Provide DME technical support to national offices during strategy monitoring and evaluation.
  • Represent regional WV DME in strategic internal and external knowledge sharing and decision-making forums.
  • Provide leadership and technical input to conduct NO ME capacity assessment and capacity enhancement action plans.
  • Provide leadership and coordinate with GC Evidence & Learning to ensure development and execution of a coordinated and systematic capacity building in DME to strengthen expertise across all the NOs in the region.
  • Provide coordination and support for NOs to plan, execute and report on their TP and grant programme baselines, mid-term review and evaluations ensuring collection of both quantitative and qualitative data assessing CWBOs and sustainability drivers.
  • Provide leadership, coordination and capacity building to develop and enhance comprehensive and effective NO programme monitoring systems.

    Qualifications

  • Masters degree in humanitarian, development or social science related field.
  • Advanced academic training and excellent technical expertise in qualitative and quantitative programme measurement and analysis in any of the sectors implemented by World Vision.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in relief and development work with 7 of these being in practical work in designing and setting up programme measurement systems and processes and DME capacity buiding.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • At least 7 years developing country contexts experience in working with community-based development programs.
  • Excellent facilitation, negotiation, coordination and networking skills.
  • Effective in written and verbal communication in English.
