Responsibilities

    Qualifications

  • Master's degree preferred, in business administration, public administration, international development or related field.
  • Over 10 years as a senior leader in international development field locations with significant operational experience in fragile contexts.
  • Broad and deep experience in several functions, esp. on international development and management and cross-functional senior management experiences within World Vision.
  • Current or recent World Vision leadership experience is required.
  • Ability to think globally and look at the macro, strategic issues to inform strategy choices and management process.
  • Thinks carefully about the likely effects on others of one's words, actions, appearance and mode of behavior. Selects the words or actions most likely to have the desired effect on the individual or group in question. Demonstrate ability to work effectively in a team.
  • Demonstrates ability to persuade, convince, or influence others to commit to actions or products, which he or she finds of value; convinces others by understanding their needs and relating the action or product to their needs.
  • Balances the needs and interests of various stakeholders and makes decisions involving competing goals, objectives and alternatives. Prioritizes tasks and redirects work effort in response to changes in priorities.

    World Vision International NGO Director, Global Anti-Corruption Programme Jobs Opportunities in Uganda

    Responsibilities

  • Currently 8 intensive modules, and one Executive module.
  • Develop annual “all-staff” (approx. 42k) high level on-line training course.
  • Additional modules to be developed in consultation with key stakeholders as new “issue types” emerge in the industry. These could include but are not limited to InfoSec fraud, off-shore accounts {Paradise Papers}, eBanking, etc.
  • Represent Finance on the Integrated Incident Management System (IIMS)/ Whistleblower governance group, manage finance incidents.
  • Maintain familiarity with global standards/ trends around fraud & corruption.
  • Collaborate internally with ERM, Audit, Accountability, Director of Compliance, Governance.

    Qualifications

  • Graduate degree or equivalent required, CPA/CA preferred, but not required.
  • Minimum 5+ years working in a finance environment.
  • Deep understanding of corruption and fraudulent behavior, risk factors, mitigation techniques.
  • Solid background in training, both virtual and face2face.
  • Strategic thinking, critical thinking, leadership and ability to influence. Executive presence. Strong business acumen, project management skills a plus.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead high profile global initiatives, negotiate and influence others to act.
  • Demonstrated training skills.
  • Ability to effectively work across diverse stakeholder groups to achieve results.
  • Highly developed consultancy and influence skills.
  • Proven track record of working across cultures and in international contexts.
  • Ability to apply project management methods and processes to own, define, plan, implement and monitor plans/deliverables, costs, resources and quality.

    World Vision International NGO Project Assistant - REPPSI Project Jobs

    Responsibilities

  • Co-ordinate planning and implementation of the key project activities as per the agreed work plan and budget, ensuring alignment to ITAWC and WVU NO strategies.
  • Facilitate mobilization and active participation of key stake-holders communities, including children and their families to raise their voices, for action to end child marriage and other forms of violence.
  • Conduct monitoring visits to track progress against plans and also collect relevant data for monthly, half year and end of project reporting.
  • Facilitate the building and maintenance of WVU –REPSSI relationships with district and national level coalitions and networks, for effective policy advocacy, profile raising and effective external engagements, consistent with WVU – ITAWC Strategy priorities.
  • Identify the key child protection structures, assess their capacity needs and in in close consultation with WVU and REPSSI team. coordinate their capacity building initiatives
  • In collaboration with Buikwe Team, identify areas for linkage to policy processes at the national level and facilitate participation of district level stakeholders in external engagements.
  • Contribute to resource mobilization through generating of concept papers for fund raising and funding proposal writing, in collaboration with Buikwe World Vision Team.

    Qualifications:

  • A Degree Development Economics, Social Sciences and other related field
  • At least one year’s experience in advocacy work at national and international level
  • Training facilitation and coordination skills
  • Policy Advocacy and Campaign skills
  • Proven leadership skills to lead the team and good people management skills
  • Unquestionable integrity,

    Responsibilities

  • Establish, lead, resource and staff the programmes unit to meet response needs

    Qualifications

  • A minimum of 3-5 years in leadership role in the humanitarian assistance and development sector, with a significant portion of this in INGOs.
  • 5 years experience in humanitarian assistance work.
  • Demonstrated understanding of key humanitarian principles, standards and best practices.
  • University degree in Humanitarian Studies or relevant field. Masters degree preferred.
  • Experience in program management and implementation of multi-sectoral emergency response projects.
  • Intensive experience in leading a multi-cultural team of professionals.
  • Experience working in a cross-cultural environment.
  • Experience working in war zones / fragile contexts.
  • Experience in engaging with governmental institutions and multilateral agencies.
  • Experience in managing humanitarian operations that facilitate innovation and calculated risk taking.
  • Work experience as Program Officer at least for 1-3 years in a country other than the home country.
