    Qualifications

  • A Degree in Records Management, Business Administration or a related study.
  • Must demonstrate hands on experience of filling/documentation and familiarity with the various filling systems.
  • A minimum of 2 years work experience in records management or related administrative roles
  • Past experience in accounting computer packages, especially sun system
  • Experience working in grant related programs.
  • Good interpersonal skills and a team player

    World Vision International NGO Project Officer -Natural Resource Management Jobs in Kenya

    Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the in the implementation of the all activities in the livelihoods and resilience project with focus on Rangeland management including technical support to partners on Farmer Managed Natural Regeneration (FMNR)
  • Facilitate communities to advocate for appropriate policy and regulatory frameworks in support of sustainable rangelands management (policy briefs, County legislative forums, guidelines etc)
  • Facilitate staff, partners and communities on peace building using the Local Capacities for Peace (LCP) and Do-No-Harm (DNH) approaches
  • Facilitate community dialogue on peace building and conflict resolution around use of natural resources (E.g. water, pasture etc)
  • Strengthen linkages with strategic peace building CSOs, County and national governments on Peace Building initiatives
  • Training community members on integrated natural resource management and sustainability
  • Contribute to effective and timely implementation of all levels of interventions and initiatives with communities and partners;
  • Conduct on site trainings and strengthening community groups in issues on livestock management in respect to climate change
  • Mobilization and Formation of saving groups and facilitate them undertake an organization self-assessments;
  • Conduct Tailor-Made Training of the groups on savings
  • Facilitating the groups to do the actual savings & Investments
  • Facilitate Sessions on Empowered Worldview with the
  • Savings Groups

    Qualifications

  • The job holder must have at least a Degree in Rangeland Management, Natural Resource Management, Drylands Agriculture or related course, with at least two years’ on job experience on natural resource, livestock production and management in semi-arid or arid lands;
  • Hands field experience on Savings Groups with VSL Approach in a fragile context will be an added advantage;
  • Has the ability and willingness to work with different communities and often difficult context;.
  • Should be self-motivated and able to work without supervision;
  • Must have a good understanding of the different systems of extension delivery and;
  • Computer literate.

    World Vision International NGO Project Coordinator- Water Hygiene & Sanitation Jobs in Kenya

    Responsibilities

  • Oversee quality and effectiveness of project activities as per the design and guidelines in full compliance with GOK, WHO, SPHERE and other relevant partnership and international standards and guidelines;
  • Ensure relevant projects meet or exceed planned outcomes and targets
  • Conduct field monitoring visits to the relevant projects and facilitation of visiting delegations/donors
  • Monitor effective and efficient utilization of budgets
  • Work closely with team relevant leads to implement response plans regarding all financial and operational audit findings of the projects initiatives, and take the needed measures to prevent such findings from recurring in the future
  • In liaison with the M & E and Capacity Building Officer and NO WASH team and other TWIP members, develop TOR and other tools
    for projects monitoring and evaluations.
  • Consolidate monthly, quarterly, semi- annual, annual, and end of projects reports and ensure that the reports are prepared in a timely manner and in accordance with donors and WV Kenya requirements.
  • Document and disseminate lessons learnt and best practices on completed initiatives and projects.

    Qualifications

  • Must have a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field preferably Civil Engineering or Water and Environmental field from a recognized University
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience with regards to the designing, planning, implementation, supervising and reporting on integrated development with bias in WASH and natural resource management projects
  • Proven experience in a supervisory or management role
  • Prior experience in engaging with donors, government and civil societies.

    World Vision International NGO Senior Program Officer Jobs in Kenya

    Responsibilities

  • Pursue resource mobilization opportunities aligned to WVS strategy and capacities in humanitarian and developmental sectors by working closely with key stakeholders in developing proposals for a variety of donors to meet local community needs that are aligned to WV Somalia Program’s strategy.
  • Mobilize and lead cross-functional proposal development teams with clear assignments, deadlines and timetable, including appropriate representatives from Operations, Technical Advisors, Finance, Quality Assurance and Support Office support. Anticipate strengths and contributions of each proposal team member for maximum efficiency and effectiveness, as well as team satisfaction.
  • Anticipate, plan for and write proposals with high win rate. Lead in the selection of sectors and geographic areas which maximize WV’s program impact, cost efficiency and donor preferences or requirements.
  • Regularly review project evaluations, lessons learned workshop documents, field and project reports across the program and from other NGOs and donors to apply emerging innovations and best practices in future proposals.

    Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Development Studies or any relevant social sciences with experience in program development.
  • Five years or more working in humanitarian or development field, preferably with one or more previous assignments in fragile contexts.
  • Two to three years designing and/or implementing education programmes is strongly preferred
  • Should demonstrate training in humanitarian standards and donor requirements e.g. OFDA, DFID and Europe Aid.
  • Should have very good proposal development skills: An exceptionally strong writer.
  • Very good ability to mobilize cross-functional proposal team (technical, operations, field staff, finance, M&E, Regional/HQ) with right staff at the right time to meet tight deadlines. Can also effectively mobilize multi-partner proposal development teams.
  • Should demonstrate very good experience in networking with donors and partners to bring about funding opportunities.
  • Strong leadership and demonstrated ability to work independently and within a team, prioritize tasks and manage multiple activities with attention to detail and ability to meet very tight deadlines.
  • Demonstrates ability to effectively work across cultures.
  • Demonstrates well-developed interpersonal skills, excellent communication skills, both verbal and written as well as negotiation skills.
  • Demonstrates the ability to mobilize and work as part of a diverse team to achieve the overall goal.
