Responsibilities

    Responsibilities

  • Oversee and/or conduct fraud investigations in accordance with Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (ACFE) and internal policy standards as leader of the Global Fraud Investigation Team to promote Global Internal Audit (GIA) vision, mission and strategy.
  • Prepare and present timely, factual, and complete reports on fraud allegations and trends as well as pending and completed investigations and follow up actions to the Certified Audit Examiner (CAE), Partnership Leaders, and the audit and risk committee of the WVI Board.
  • Ensure that all reported fraud allegations are shared with GC Legal, entered into the Integrity Protection Hotline (IPH) or Integrated Incident Management (IIM) system, and communicated to the necessary support offices, donors, and local authorities, when required, in accordance with WVI’s Anti-corruption Policy and GIA Investigations Protocol.
  • Provide in-depth analysis on key fraud statistics, recurring trends, emerging risks, and other elements that will allow proactive mitigation of future fraud risks to the Partnership.
  • Where appropriate and necessary, this position will identify, engage and manage internal and external experts and ensure that investigation services are rendered in accordance with the ACFE Standards, WVI’s Ant-corruption Policy and GIA protocols.
  • Develops global investigation strategy and fraud risk assessment dashboard to assist in the timely deterrence, detection, prevention, investigation and reporting of fraud.
  • Leads and continues to build the capacity of GIA Investigations by establishing a credible system for ensuring independent and objective investigations of fraud allegations across the Partnership.
  • Enforces investigations protocols and procedures, including policies, timelines, roles and responsibilities for initiating and conducting investigations of alleged fraud while forwarding allegations of misconduct, mismanagement, waste of resources and abuse of authority to business owners with respect to the principles of confidentiality, objectivity, and impartiality.
  • Responsible for providing and supporting ongoing fraud detection and awareness training to WV entities to combat fraud and capitalize on lessons learned.

    Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, criminal justice, or related field or law degree
  • Must be a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) and have either a Certified Information System Auditor (CISA) Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Chartered Accountant (CA) or Certified Internal Auditor certification.
  • Willing and able to travel up to 40% of the time.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Efficient in computer skills and data mining tools and digital technology.
  • Critical thinking and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work under a high level of stress and pressure.
  • 10-15 years relevant experience.
  • At least 5 years leading an internal or external investigation function for a global organization.
  • Experience managing staff on multiple projects and providing direction to team members.
  • Cross cultural experience working in sensitive and challenging environments and ones
    that may not embrace the need for change, and leading a virtual and cross cultural team.
  • Demonstrated ability to teach and train in both formal and informal processes.
  • CFE or JD, and CIA, CPA or CA.




    World Vision International Communications Manager, South Sudan Jobs in South Sudan

    Responsibilities

  • create a communications strategy and budget (including social media) in collaboration with National Office (NO) senior leadership, regional office and global emergency communications director integrating programming priorities in alignment with the regional and global strategies.
  • Manage the implementation of the WVSS Communication strategy and workplan according to the approved budget Support Response team and relevant Regional Office (RO)/Partnership stakeholders on key communications issues, initiatives and messaging – globally, regionally and nationally -as/when needed relating to the CAT 3 emergency Response; including provision of a monthly Situation Report (SitRep).
  • Liaise with Communications teams across responding agencies to explore, develop and where possible agree on joint approaches and messaging related to the NO and humanitarian response.
  • Serve as a liaison with Support Office communications teams to help position and respond to communications and media needs for different audiences globally.
  • Develop the communications thematic priorities by updating analysis, messaging, and amending key focus themes for national & international communication.
  • Work closely with WV’s East Africa Regional Office (EARO) communication staff to ensure WV National Office strategy is aligned within EARO’s overarching communications strategy for the region.
  • Train and capacity build national staff to ensure that the variety and standard of communication material distributed by the WVSS National Office meets the needs and standards of SOs the Partnership.
  • Contribute to development of global policies, guidelines and standards relating to fragile states and support in contextualizing and mainstreaming them throughout the organisation.
  • Liaise with Communications teams across responding agencies to explore, develop and where possible agree on joint approaches and messages.

    Requirements

  • A Degree at University level in Journalism, Communications or relevant area.
  • Knowledge of Crisis Communications Management, Project and People, Tema Management and Media & Social Media Relations.
  • Familiarity and Understanding of Humanitarian Policy and Advocacy.
  • Two to five years of communications in disaster and emergency response in an international relief situation
  • Empirical knowledge of International Development and Humanitarianism Affairs, Including Humanitarian Standards and Codes of Conduct.
  • Extended Periods Living and working in developing countries.

    Responsibilities

  • Ensure high quality ministry approaches that align with LEAP 3 principles and ensure best practice development work at scale.
  • Ensure strong ability to measure CWB outcomes and maintain a green rating on the CWB report each year.
  • Ensure strong engagement in resource mobilization, including positioning and support to grant acquisition efforts to raise additional resources and diversify WV South Sudan’s portfolio.
  • Ensure the highest standards of quality and accountability through compliance with World Vision policies and standards and international standards for emergency response, disaster mitigation, rehabilitation and development.
  • Ensure all project proposals, reports, integrated audits and ministry evaluations are reviewed at a proper level within the office and appropriate actions are implemented, to ensure impact, accountability and compliance.
  • Ensure that a strong national Monitoring & Evaluation strategy is in place and that M&E systems are streamlined to reduce processes and focus on child well-being.

    Requirements

  • Strong knowledge of financial management and accounting principles.
  • Experience in technical programming in at least one of the major ministry components
  • Experience working in conflict affected contexts; Africa experience a plus.
  • Master’s Degree in a relevant field
  • 10 years relevant experience in international relief and development, with progressively more complex and higher level leadership roles.
  • National Director experience in at least one other national office.
  • Training in NGO leadership and experience in leading diverse teams that include national and international staff.
