World Vision International Supply Chain Director Jobs in Kenya


Introduction

Responsibilities

  • In partnership with the NO leadership provide strong and positive leadership to the NO SCM departments ensuring talented and motivated staff are hired, retained and developed, providing efficient delivery of SCM services and programs .
  • Coordinate professional and personal development of NO SCM staff through effective orientation, development plans,on the job coaching, identification of learning needs and opportunities (e.g. disaster response, grant management, procurement in Provision, risk management leadership) and succession planning. Duly conduct performance planning and evaluation through on-going discussions and performance management with NO Leadership.
  • Accountable for establishing regional SCM strategies and delivery of SCM activities across the region and NO’s leading to optimal service, product supply, inventory management, best value for $, while mitigating risk and establishing WV SCM as a competitive driver with donor recognition.
  • Develop and implement rolling annual regional sourcing plans as part of multi-year plan for the region and each NO insuring GC and RO contracts are leveraged where they provide best overall value.
  • Insuring best value for $ at the program level through on going.
  • Building market intelligence through on going market assessments to understand and respond to supply risk, cost, fluctuating financial markets.
  • Leveraging demand and spend across all countries to drive the best overall value through regional and NO contracts.

    Qualifications

  • Master of Business Administration and or Supply Chain Management degree and /or equivalent work experience.

  • Extensive process improvement, strategic sourcing, and systems implementation experience.
  • Minimum of 15 years of senior management experience in the field of strategy and operations, logistics and supply chain management with experience in developing, implementing, training, knowledge management and capacity development programmes.
  • Past experience in organisation(s) where Best Practice has been successfully introduced and lead in a global organisation. Delivered significant qualitative and quantitative (including financial) benefits through supply chain management which has positively impacted organisational performance.
  • ISM, CPM or CIP’s certification is a plus.
  • Lean-Six Sigma training or certification.

    World Vision International Project Officer - Social Accountability Jobs in Kenya

    Responsibilities

  • Develop and roll out the Project’s detailed implementation plan and ensure project effectiveness and efficiency
  • Ensure timely and effective community & partner mobilization for meaningful involvement in project implementation
  • In liaison with partners develop Annual project work plans with clear targets, budgets and detailed implementation plans.
  • Undertake participatory training of community members and partners on Social Accountability
  • In liaison with Partners ,mobilize communities to participate in project implementation during assessments, implementation, monitoring and evaluations
  • Ensure full adherence to Social Accountability standards and guidelines during project implementation
  • Manage the project budget and ensure regular review of project expenditure
  • Establish effective cross-functional linkages between the Social Accountability project and all other WVK projects in Kakuma refugee camp
  • In liaison with project accountant track project implementation expenditure levels and budgets
  • In collaboration with project manager, ensure the timely preparation and implementation of phase-out strategy

    Qualifications

  • Degree in Humanitarian Emergencies, Political Science, Sociology, Law or a related field.
  • A minimum of 3 years (Degree level) experience in working/programming in either relief or development including managing community based
  • Social Accountability projects with evidence of successful implementation of similar projects
  • Experience working in the Humanitarian Sector (Refugee context
    will be added advantage).
  • Well vast with humanitarian resources such as the Core Humanitarian Standard, Sphere Standards, Red Cross code of conduct, International Refugee Law and Refugee Regulations and Policy in Kenya.
  • Experience in conducting Social Accountability related trainings
  • Experience in providing technical support to communities and partners to engage in discussion with the government, duty bearers and service providers.
  • Experience in engagements with government departments and decision makers in policy dialogue, as well as networking and collaborating with other non-government stakeholders
  • Experience in project design, proposal writing, needs assessments, surveys, and information management.

    Qualifications

  • Experience in enterprise architecture execution in a globally distributed environment.
  • Technical skills necessary.
  • Ability to recruit and build strong, customer oriented team members and mentor them to success.
  • Prior experience leading the change and improvement of a large, multi-national organization. The ability to add value by driving the effective execution of an organization's mission.
  • 12+ years of multi-national leadership experience.
  • 7+ years experience developing global enterprise architecture solutions.
  • 7+ years of executive level leadership (reporting to a "C" level).
