WVE is currently looking for a candidate for Compliance Officer Post. The successful candidate will have skills and experience that meet the following requirements:

Purpose of the position:

The Compliance Officer will provide expertise in ensuring and implementing program accountability and compliance with USAID and DFSA requirements in program intervention.

To ensure program accountability and compliance with humanitarian standards and requirements in the DFSA program intervention.

Communicate World Vision's Christian ethos and demonstrate a quality of spiritual life that is an example to others.

Major Responsibilities

Work closely with the commodities team to ensure compliance with USAID and World Vision International standards in food projects, food for work and NFI.

Follow up and close all food monitoring findings in WV DFSA target woredas

Carry out planned and random monitoring field visits to Food distribution points and

warehouses to ensure conformity with set rules and procedures.

Engage in ensuring proper marking and branding requirements are adopted in all WV DFSA target woredas

Engage in establishing and strengthening Complaint response mechanisms (Accountability) in WV DFSA target woredas.

Build and develop the capacity of the field staff in commodity compliance through the use of effective training.

Job Requirements

Qualifications: Education/Knowledge/Technical Skills and Experience

The following may be acquired through a combination of formal or self-education, prior experience or on-the-job training:

Qualification required: BA/BSc in Economics, Business Administration, Disaster Management and related fields

Experience: 3-5 years of relevant experience

Ability to prepare written reports requiring reasoning and precision of expression

Strong task management skills including attention to detail.

Highly developed interpersonal and communication skill including influencing and negotiation.

A high level of computer literacy (word, excel, ppt and Lotus notes).

Working Environment / Conditions:

Work environment: Office-based with frequent travel to the field

Travel: 30% Domestic/international travel is required.

On call: 15%
