World Vision Director - Strategic Research & Evidence Jobs in Kenya

World Vision Director - Strategic Research & Evidence Jobs in Kenya;Lead World Vision’s applied research, evidence generation and learning translation function, using child data across the partnership—including Annual Impact Measurement (AIM/AIM+), programme monitoring, evaluations, operational research and commissioned studies—to produce decision‑useful and externally credible evidence. Commission and lead applied research, evidence synthesis and university partnerships; translate findings into actionable learning and strategic insight; and ensure evidence informs programme quality, fundraising, policy influence and senior leadership decisions.

Responsibilities

  • Lead applied research, evidence synthesis and learning translation.

  • Commission and oversee external research studies.

  • Ensure evidence informs programme quality, fundraising and policy influence.

  • Build partnerships with universities and research institutions.

  • Translate findings into actionable learning for leadership and donors.

  • Provide strategic advice on evidence claims and programme performance.

  • Influence senior stakeholders across multiple countries and sectors.

    Requirements

  • Master’s degree or equivalent in relevant discipline.

  • Formal training in quantitative methods, research design and data analysis.

  • Minimum 12 years’ progressive experience in applied research, evidence synthesis, evaluation or data science.

  • Experience leading multi‑country research portfolios.

  • Technical expertise in quantitative/mixed‑methods research using large datasets.

  • Ability to work across sectors (health, nutrition, WASH, livelihoods, child protection, climate, humanitarian, faith and development).

  • Experience synthesising evidence across multiple sources.

  • Experience commissioning and overseeing external studies.

  • Strong applied skills in R, Python, Stata, SPSS or equivalent; familiarity with BI tools such as Power BI.

  • Proven experience leading virtual, matrixed and cross‑cultural teams.

  • Fluency in English.

  • Willingness to travel up to 15%.
