World University Service of Canada Driver/Office Assistant Jobs in Kenya; The Driver and Administrative Assistant delivers safe transport, administrative, and logistical support. The role ensures vehicle maintenance, compliance with safety standards, and contributes to daily office efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

Driving & Vehicle Maintenance

  • Safely transport staff, visitors, and cargo using efficient routes.

  • Adhere to traffic laws, organizational safety, and vehicle policies.

  • Maintain vehicle logbooks, fuel records, and mileage reports.

  • Conduct daily inspections, fueling, and coordinate repairs and servicing.

  • Ensure vehicles remain clean, roadworthy, and insured.

    Administrative & Logistics Support

  • Collect quotes, purchase items, and track office inventory.

  • Handle filing, scanning, printing, and document distribution.

  • Manage official mail and courier delivery.

  • Assist with field schedules, airport transfers, and loading/unloading materials.

  • Maintain an orderly office environment.

    Compliance & Safety

  • Adhere to organizational policies, health and safety procedures, and safeguarding requirements.

  • Report accidents, incidents, or security concerns promptly.

  • Protect confidentiality of organizational data and documentation.

    Qualifications

  • Valid driver’s license with clean record (Mandatory).

  • Defensive driving certification (Preferred).

  • Secondary education (Minimum).

  • Diploma/Certificate in Office Administration, Business Administration, or Logistics (Preferred).

  • Computer literacy (Word, Excel, Outlook, email systems).

  • First Aid certification (Asset).

  • Fluency in English and Kiswahili; local language an advantage.

    Experience

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience as a professional driver (Mandatory).

  • Experience in administrative or office support.

  • NGO, development, or corporate office experience (Added advantage).

  • Familiarity with Dadaab and surrounding areas (Preferred).

    Key Competencies

  • Excellent knowledge of road safety and driving laws.

  • Integrity, confidentiality, and professional communication.

  • Ability to multitask, work independently, and in a team.

  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.

    Additional Requirements

  • Preference for candidates residing in Dadaab.

  • Willingness to work evenings, weekends, or public holidays as required.
