Job Summary

  • Economic Strengthening and Social Protection (ES/SP) services under ICYD are made up of a strategic mix of economic strengthening, parenting (Sinovuyo model), early childhood development and HIV/GBV prevention services (Journeys
    Plus).

  • Economic strengthening will anchor the social protection package which will be layered with case management and a strategic mix of parenting, Journeys prevention, and early childhood development informed by care plans for ICYD enrolled families.

  • The Zonal Social Protection Coordinator will coordinate delivery of TA to National Partners to
    deliver integrated social protection services to families enrolled in OVC comprehensive case management as well delivery of stand alone Prevention services at community level.

  • The ES/Social Protection Coordinator The Zonal ES/SP Coordinator will take direction from the National Team and work in close collaboration with the Zonal Institutional Development, Case Management, Operations, M&E and Education teams to ensure a coordinated TA service delivery and systems strengthening approach, supporting NPs to strengthen and expand partnerships with other district and
    community, FBO and private sector stakeholders to expand access to ES/SP services.

    Key Result Areas:

    Specific Responsibilities and Duties:

    Major Responsibilities:

    ● Support delivery of coordinated TA to NP in the coordinated delivery of ES/SP services.

    ● Support NP to use tested tools and strategies to move enrolled families along an economic strengthening and social resilience continuum towards
    graduation.

    ● Coordinate support to help NPs track and assess economic resilience and progress along the economic strengthening continuum

    ● Coordinate work planning, development and sharing of appropriate economic strengthening tools, training, assessments, materials development and distribution activities ensuring that activities are properly and timely performed and that outputs are accomplished and delivered according to the agreed work plans.

    ● Coordinate delivery of targeted Parenting, Prevention and ECD TA to NPs to ensure delivery of layered social protection services

    ● Train, mentor,
    supervise, monitor and support partner organizations in the implementation with fidelity of all integrated ES/SP models.

    ● Liaise with partners and relevant stakeholders to; troubleshoot and problem solving access to ES/SP services.

    ● Participate in all relevant planning, implementation, and management of project meetings, workshops, and trainings.

    ● Support generation of monthly and quarterly and annual technical reports.

    Job Specifications:

    ● Degree in: social work and social administration, development studies, guidance and counselling, or related fields from a recognized institution.

    ● At least two years of experience working on under large complete OVC programs preferably PEPFAR/USAID, with strong economic strengthening experience.

    ● Experience/exposure to Sinovuyo parenting and HIV/GBV prevention and layered programming

    ● Demonstrated passion for learning and problem solving

    ● Demonstrated capacity to coordinate service delivery and work as part of a complex and integrated team

    ● Relevant experience in documentation, reporting and records management is a requirement.

    ● Excellent writing skills.

    ● Good communication skills and ability to communicate in the local and national languages.

    ● Computer skills in PowerPoint, Word, Excel.
