About this Role

  • The role of Programs Director is to plan, execute, and finalize programs according to strict quality standards, deadlines and within budget while maintaining high levels of safety and customer satisfaction.

  • This includes acquiring resources and coordinating the efforts of team members and subcontractors in order to deliver programs according to plan and budget.

  • The Project Manager will also define the project’s objectives and oversee quality control throughout its life cycle in coordination with the Design Team.

  • The Programs Director will also work closely with the Executive Team to ensure timely and quality completion of the programs delivery process and strategies for the acquisition of new work. .

    Duties and Responsibilities

    • Direct and manage program development from beginning to end.

    • Define program/project scope and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with executive management.

    • Develop program plans and schedule.

    • Effectively communicate program expectations to team members in a timely and clear fashion.

    • Communicate with customers on an ongoing basis.

    • Set and continually manage program expectations with team members and customers.

    • Identify and manage program dependencies and critical paths.

    • Plan and schedule project timelines and milestones using appropriate tools.

    • Track program milestones and deliverables.

    • Develop and deliver progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation and presentations.

    • Issue status reports to the program/project team, analyze results, and troubleshoot problem areas.

    • Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential crises, and devise contingency plans.

    • Define program/project success criteria and disseminate them to involved parties throughout the project life cycle.

    • Coach, mentor, motivate and supervise program/project team members and subcontractors, and influence them to take positive action and accountability for their assigned work.

    • Build, develop, and grow business relationships vital to the success of the program/project.

    • Conduct program “lessons learned” meetings and create a recommendations report in order to identify successful and unsuccessful program elements.

    • Develop best practices and tools for program execution and management.

    • Coordinate internal resources and
    third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of programs/projects.

    • Ensure that all programs/projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget.

    • Developing program/project scopes and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility .

    • Ensure resource availability and allocation.

    • Develop a detailed project plan to track progress.

    • Use appropriate verification techniques to manage changes in project scope, schedule and costs.

    • Measure project performance using appropriate systems, tools and techniques.

    • Report and escalate to management as needed.

    • Manage the relationship with the client and all stakeholders.

    • Perform risk management to minimize project risks.

    • Establish and maintain relationships with third parties/vendors.

    • Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation.

    • Formulate business strategy with others in the executive team

    • Design policies that align with overall strategy

    • Implement efficient processes and standards

    • Oversee the implementation of technology solutions throughout the organization

    • Manage contracts and relations with customers, vendors, partners and other stakeholders

    • Evaluate risk and lead quality assurance efforts

    • Oversee expenses and budgeting to help the organization optimize costs and benefits

    • Mentor and motivate teams to achieve productivity and engagement

    • Report on operational performance and suggest improvements
