Willow Health Media Production Assistant Jobs in Kenya; The Production Assistant supports the Audio‑Visual Department in planning, coordinating, and executing multimedia productions across Willow Health Media’s programmes, podcasts, social media platforms, website, and special projects. The role provides administrative, logistical, and production support throughout the production cycle from pre‑production to post‑production, ensuring projects are delivered efficiently, on schedule, and in line with editorial, technical, and brand standards.
Key Responsibilities
Production Coordination
Support planning and coordination of multimedia productions.
Post‑Production Support
Organise and catalogue footage, audio files, graphics, and production assets.
Ensure proper file naming, transfer, backup, and archiving.
Monitor editing progress and coordinate internal review sessions.
Prepare production notes, edit logs, and supporting documentation.
Assist in preparing subtitles, thumbnails, metadata, and publishing assets.
Administrative Support
Maintain production calendars, trackers, and schedules.
Organise production documents, contracts, invoices, and approvals.
Coordinate freelancers, suppliers, and vendors.
Support budget monitoring and record production expenses.
Prepare meeting minutes, action points, and production reports.
Quality Assurance and Compliance
Verify consent forms and production documentation.
Support compliance with branding, editorial, and production standards.
Conduct quality checks on deliverables before publication.
Maintain organised production archives and digital asset libraries.
Ensure compliance with safeguarding policies and ethical standards.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Film Production, Media Studies, Communications, Journalism, or related field with at least 1 year relevant experience post‑internship.
Diploma or certificate in Film Production,
Media Studies, Communications, Journalism, or related field with at least 2 years relevant experience post‑internship.
Experience supporting field productions and coordinating multiple activities an advantage.
Experience with NGOs, health journalism, development organisations, or media organisations desirable.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Workspace.
Familiarity with digital asset management systems and cloud storage platforms.
Strong organisational, documentation, and record‑keeping skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
High attention to detail, accuracy, and problem‑solving ability.
Ability to multitask, prioritise, and work under pressure.
Flexibility to work beyond regular hours and willingness to travel occasionally for field support.
