Widows and Orphans Empowerment Organization Organizational Development Specialist Jobs in Nigeria



Key Duties & Responsibilities

  • Organizational Development Specialist is to build the capacity of local Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) across Nigeria in the following areas:

  • Organization Vision, mission and core values

  • Organization statutory compliance

  • Organization Strategic plan, basic policies, procedures, Office and Equipment

  • Organizational Resource Mobilization Planning, Resource Mobilization Personnel,
  • Knowledge of the theory of change (ToC)/Value for Money

  • Organization proposal writing and development, Project costing and budget development

  • Organization fiscal sustainability and revenue generation, Fundraising planning, and Report writing

  • CAC Registration Status and Registration with relevant state ministries

  • Organization work plan, the process of managing change, documented knowledge of stakeholders, strong partnership management procedures, Sustainability component etc.

  • Board governance, leadership training, and succession planning.

  • Annual work plan development.

    Qualifications, Skills and Experience

  • A graduate with Bachelor’s degree or Higher National Diploma or its equivalent, with a First- or Second- Class Upper Division (2.1) in any social science or related fields.

  • Additional professional certifications or a post-graduate diploma will be an added advantage
    Minimum of Five (5) years experience in Organizational Development duties

  • Evidence of experience in reporting writing
    Evidence in carrying our organizational development assessments

  • Evidence of experience developing capacity development plans for local CSOs

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word,
    PowerPoint, Outlook, survey development, website landing pages and other useful software.

  • Well-organized, with ability to track multiple activities and deadlines

  • Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
