WFP Programme Assistant – Delivery Jobs in Kenya




Key Accountabilities

Under delegated authority, the Programme Assistant – Delivery will be responsible for:

  • Supporting delivery cycle management by ensuring timely reconciliation of transfers and programme data

  • Assisting in anomaly detection across corporate systems (SCOPE, COMET, WINGS)

  • Monitoring payment lists and supporting Area Offices in compliance with corporate procedures

  • Assisting in deduplication processes and reporting compliance to senior management

  • Supporting visualization tools and dashboards to track delivery cycle progress and programme performance

  • Preparing monthly reports including transfer and reconciliation reports for sign-off by senior management

  • Supporting automation of reports and dashboards to inform operational improvements

  • Engaging with CO and AO teams to understand data needs and align analytical products with decision-making

  • Guiding staff on data extraction, usage, and interpretation to build capacity

  • Ensuring compliance with WFP data governance, privacy, and security policies

  • Providing timely support to ad hoc data analysis and extraction requests

    Qualifications, Experience and Skills Required

    Education

  • Advanced University degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics, Statistics, or related discipline OR First University Degree with additional years of relevant work experience/training

    Experience

  • At least 1 year of relevant experience with Advanced Degree OR minimum
    3 years with First Degree in data analytics, reconciliation, identity management, operational dashboards, or related fields

    Languages

  • Fluent knowledge of English and Somali

    Knowledge and Skills Required

  • Proficiency in SQL, Power BI/Tableau, and data modelling

  • Strong data cleaning, validation, and anomaly detection skills

  • Understanding of SCOPE datasets and humanitarian programme workflows (highly desirable)

  • Strong communication and capacity building skills

  • Ability to identify lessons learned and best practices

  • Ability to conduct training sessions

  • Proficiency in maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance

  • Skills in risk identification and mitigation

  • Ability to support field teams effectively
