Responsibilities


  • Improve the delivery of current interventions;
  • Inform future design of projects and programmes; and
  • Capture learning for scaling up, replication, promotion of appropriate practices, and inform policy changes.
  • Key to achieving that goal is to foster an environment and culture that promotes continuous learning and improvement and a more dynamic flow of information for decision making, policy and programme development.


    Requirements


  • At least five (5) years of postgraduate progressively responsible and international professional experience in Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning with expertise in setting up complex monitoring and learning systems, capacity development and establishment of results-based data systems.
  • Experience of managing stakeholders: Cultivated sustainable relationships with office colleagues, government authorities, local NGOs, and other implementation partners.
  • Research experience: collecting and analyzing qualitative and quantitative data using a variety of tools
    and approaches.
  • Language: Fluency in both oral and written communication in English essential.
  • Demonstrates good understanding of humanitarian and development actions in different contexts and knowledge of global geo-political issues and UN Reform, and applies it to enhance existing monitoring and evaluation systems that support WFP’s strategic objectives.
  • Is able to demonstrate to stakeholders the value of monitoring and evaluation for policy and programming in the achievements of the SDGs.
  • Has ability to analyze the existing evidence base, needs and design a comprehensive monitoring, review and evaluation plan that will address learning and accountability needs
