WFP Expression of Interest - Provision of Pest Control Services - Uganda

Description of the Requirement:

The World Food Programme Uganda Country office is inviting competent and financially stable business entities that have the expertise, capability and experience to provide pest control services in food storage facilities at locations in the following districts:

Adjumani, Agago, Arua, Buyende, Dokolo, Gulu, Hoima, Iganga, Isingiro, Jinja, Kaabong, Kampala, Kamuli, Kamwenge, Kapchorwa, Kasese, Kiboga, Kotido, Kyegegwa, Lamwo, Masindi, Mbarara, Moroto, Moyo, Nakapiripirit, Napak, Ntungamo, Omoro, Oyam, Serere, Tororo and Yumbe.

Pest control services include among others fumigation, spraying, control of termites, rodents, bats, birds and reptiles.

Prospective firms should posses capacity to provide required pest control materials and equipment, trained and 'incensed technicians and transportation to locations all over Uganda.

This E01 does not constitute a solicitation.

WFP reserves the right to change or cancel the requirements at any time during the E01 and/or solicitation process.

WFP also reserves the right not to invite a firm that submitted an E01, thus responding to this EOl does not automatically guarantee that the business firm/organisation will be considered for receipt of the solicitation if-and-when-issued.

Required Documentation to Submit With the E01:

Business firms and organisations interested in participating in the planned solicitation process should forward their E01 to UNWFP by hand delivery as indicated below.

To be deemed eligible for the pre-qualification process, firms are required to submit all the below listed documents within the 01 to the WFP Kampala office:

  • A letter of interest clearly specifying the physical address of the business.
  • An original letter of support from the firm's/organisation principal financial banker outlining the firm's/ organisation's financial status and credibility.
  • If such a letter is
    issued in the name of an individual (guarantor) related to the firm/organisation, clearly state the guarantor's exact position in the firm/organisation and/ or other links with the firm/organisation.
  • A valid fumigation licenses for both the company and the fumigators issued by the Agricultural Chemicals Board of the Ministry of Agriculture, Animal Industry and Fisheries.
  • Business firm's/organisation Audited Financial Statements for at least two of the past three years (2016, 2017 and 2018) or expressed intention to provide such statements within one month (including bank statements).
  • Business firm's/organisation Certificate of Incorporation or registration.
  • Company's tax registration certificate (including VAT).
  • Income tax clearance certificates for at least two of the past three years (2016, 2017 and 2018).
  • Company's current trading [incense 9. Letters of reference from at least two existing clients.
  • Inventory of requisite pest control materials and equipment and list of items that that can be readily mobilized.

    How to Apply
  • The above documents should be submitted clearly labelled "Request for Expression of Interest to provide pest control services — E01 - F.01.03.8435" and to be deposited in the tender box at the reception of World Food Programme, Uganda Country office, Plot 17/19, Clement Hill Road, Kampala.
  • Deadline for submission is 12:00 PM local time-I on 3rd May 2019
