Job Purpose
  • The Department of Environmental Affairs and Development Planning, Western Cape Government has an opportunity for a suitably qualified and competent individual to assist with the management, development and implementation of integrated environmental management legislation and systems with regard to Air Quality Management. This post is based in Cape Town, CBD.

    Minimum Requirements
  • An appropriate Honours Degree in Environmental Management or Physical / Natural Sciences or Engineering (or an equivalent qualification); A valid (Code B) driving license.

    Recommendation
    Working knowledge and relevant experience of the following: Environmental Management, Integrated Environmental Management, particularly Air Quality Management; Air Quality Monitoring; Environmental Legislation; Compliance and Enforcement and Project Management / Planning.

    Competencies
    Knowledge of the following:
  • Environmental Management (air quality management, integrated environmental management;
  • pollution management;
  • regulatory services);
  • Air Quality Management Systems (e.g. air quality monitoring network, atmospheric emission licensing, air quality management planning, etc.);
