Job Purpose
  • The Mobility Department, Western Cape Government has an opportunity for a competent and suitably qualified individual to o ensure an integrated, effective and efficient accounting system and to manage in-year and annual reports on recorded financial affairs and the financial system. This post is stationed in Maitland.

    Minimum Requirements
  • An appropriate 3-year B-Degree (equivalent or higher qualification) in Accounting Science; A minimum of 5 years relevant supervisory experience in a financial accounting environment;
  • A valid driving licence (Code B or Higher).

    Competencies
    Knowledge of the following:
  • Financial norms and standards;
  • Financial delegations, procedures and Instructions;
  • Standard Chart of Accounts (SCOA).
    Skills needed:
  • Computer literacy in MS Office package (Word, Excel and PowerPoint);
  • Written and verbal communication; Numerical;
  • Systematic approach.
