[West Kenya Sugar Limited Tractor Driver – Distillery Operations Jobs in Kenya;[] The Company seeks to recruit a competent, experienced and safety‑conscious Tractor Driver to support its agricultural and distillery operations in Western Kenya. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of tractors and attached implements in the transportation of materials and execution of assigned field and operational activities.

Key Roles and Responsibilities

  • Operate tractors for cane transportation.

  • Ensure timely delivery of cane from farm to designated weighbridge.

  • Handle tractors and trailers safely and efficiently.

  • Haul recommended weighment of approximately 10 tonnes.

  • Conduct daily inspections of tractors (studs, oil, coolant, pressure, greasing).

  • Observe all safety and traffic regulations within weighbridge and field operations.

  • Report mechanical faults or breakdowns promptly to supervisor.

  • Keep tractor clean and safe for operations.

    Qualifications & Experience

  • Minimum Class 8 / O‑Level education.

  • Valid Class G driving licence (smart‑card) or Class D (old licence).

  • At least 5 years’ proven experience as a Tractor Driver in the sugarcane industry.

  • Demonstrated experience in sugarcane transportation and field operations.

  • Good communication skills.

  • Basic knowledge of tractor maintenance is an added advantage.

  • Good understanding of occupational health and safety requirements.

  • Clean driving and work record.
