West Kenya Sugar Limited Accountant- Bungoma Jobs; Responsible for preparing management accounts, driving budgeting and costing processes, analyzing operational efficiencies, and supporting compliance and profitability across manufacturing operations.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Prepare weekly, monthly, and quarterly management accounts and performance reports.

  • Drive budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis processes.

  • Develop and maintain manufacturing costing models.

  • Analyze production, raw material, agricultural, and logistics costs.

  • Monitor operational efficiencies, yields, and cost drivers.

  • Conduct profitability analysis by product, customer, and market.

  • Manage inventory reconciliations, valuations, and stock movement controls.

  • Prepare excise duty reconciliations and ensure regulatory compliance.

  • Support capital expenditure monitoring and post‑investment reviews.

  • Partner with operations teams to provide pricing and performance insights.

  • Develop financial dashboards and reporting tools using SAP and Power BI.

  • Strengthen internal controls, compliance, and audit readiness.

    Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, Economics, or related field.

  • CPA(K), ACCA, or equivalent professional qualification.

  • Membership in a recognized professional accounting body.

  • MBA or Master’s degree is an added advantage.

  • 5–8 years’ experience in management accounting within manufacturing or fast‑paced environments.

  • Proven experience in budgeting, costing, financial reporting, and performance analysis.

  • Experience in high‑volume, continuous‑process environments.

    Skills
  • Strong understanding of management accounting principles, IFRS, and
    financial controls.

  • Hands‑on experience with ERP systems, preferably SAP ECC6/S4HANA.

  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.

  • Strong Power BI and financial dashboard reporting capability.

  • Costing expertise (standard costing, variance analysis, product costing).

  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.

  • Commercial acumen and strategic thinking.

  • High attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Strong stakeholder management and business partnering capability.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.

  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

  • High integrity and accountability.
