Job PurposeThe position is responsible for providing information on Board best practices and providing secretariat services to the Board of Trustees.
The position also provides legal services to both the Board and Management.
Job Specification
This is the entry grade for degree holders into this cadre.
The duties and responsibilities are to assist in:
Interpreting legal cases;
Advising the Fund on all legal requirements and prosecution procedures;
Issuing instructions to agreement and contract defaulters;
Developing and implementing legal agreements and contracts in liaison with relevant departments, divisions and units;
Ensuring compliance with legal framework, agreements and contracts; and
Preparing legal opinions on legal cases.
Person Specification
For appointment to this grade, a candidate must have:
Bachelor of Law (LL.B) degree or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution;
Advocate of the High Court of Kenya;
Valid Practicing Certificate;
Good communication skills;
Proficiency in Computer Applications, and
Fulfilled the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution of Kenya 2010.
Duration
The successful candidate for the above position will be engaged for a period of three (3) years on contract terms with a possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance.
