    Responsibilities & Duties

  • Daily posting of all company transactions into QuickBooks after obtaining all relevant supporting documents

  • Follow up on all requisitions raised by the different departments and ensuring all relevant supporting documents are obtained before payments are raised and made

  • Prepare all Balance Sheet reconciliations accurately and timeously before set deadlines on a monthly and annual basis

  • Keep track of company fixed and variable obligations and ensuring timely settlement of the same.

  • Reconcile bank balances on a daily basis
    Updating regular and ad-hoc suppliers’ records into the system and ensuring the entire procurement chain process is executed accurately before initiation of payment requests

  • Timely filing of PAYE, NSSF, LST and Income tax returns while ensuring compliance with the country tax laws and also identifying any developments to be incorporated

  • Ensuring all internal control processes are fully adhered to

  • Offering administrative support to the overall business unit

  • Any other duties within your line of work that maybe assigned by the
    Tax & Accounting Manager or any other member of the Senior Management Team

    Skills & Qualifications

    Minimum Requirement

  • A University Degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration or an equivalent from a credible institution.

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience working in a busy finance and administration team

  • Experience of processing financial transactions and maintaining financial records

  • Experience of information management and using Microsoft Excel and other IT tools to manage and store data

  • Outstanding organizational skills with the ability to manage a busy and varied workload

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, including great interpersonal skills.

  • Good working knowledge of QuickBooks and ability to learn new soft wares that maybe introduced to manage work processes

  • Ability to work quickly and effectively under pressure

  • A team player towards the common vision of the company

  • Be honest, disciplined and with integrity

    Advantage

  • Part qualification of CPA/ACCA
