Job Description

Wasasa Micro finance Institution S.C. has been engaging in providing Credit and Savings services to active poor communities of both rural and urban areas of the Oromia National Regional State since the year 2000.

To help the Company attain its organizational goals with regard to human resource requirement, we would like to recruit competent and qualified applicants on the following job position.

Main responsibilities;

Assessment of risks to be covered, setting premiums at acceptable levels, handles claims fairly and in timely and invests premiums collected based on knowledge.

Specific duties:

Directs and controls the underwriting and claims staff to ensure that they are appropriately motivated and receive all the training and development necessary to carry out their roles effectively.

Accepts risks that conform to assumptions made in the premium calculations

Reviews underwriting procedures to ensure that application forms produce the information required

Provides

guidance and assistance to the sales force, including the preparation of suitable training and publicity material to ensure that they are able to provide a sound service.

Contributes to the company’s underwriting policy to ensure that mortality and morbidity results are satisfactory

Reviews claims made against the company because of death

Location:

Wasasa Microfinance S.C.head office; Oromia, Alemgena.

Job Requirements

Job specifications:

BA/BSc/MBA/MA/MSc in Management, Accounting, Economics, Agribusiness or related fields of study with 12/10 years of relevant work experience out of which 5 years in supervisory position

Essential requirement:

Competence in MS Office

Personal qualities;

Skills of negotiation, Decision making, Presentation and use of the telephone; A wide knowledge of the life assurance sector; Ethical competence

Language:

Fluency in Afaan Oromo and English (both verbal and writing skills) is required.
