Waridi Flower Farm Senior Production Manager Jobs in Kenya

Responsibilities

  • Manage all agronomic practices involved in the cultivation and processing of high quality roses: plant propagation, cutflower production, post-harvest processing and procurement of materials.
  • Manage fertigation/irrigation systems on the farm which is 100% coco-peat hydroponics with 100% recycling of drain water.
  • Manage all chemical spray application programs to combat all aspects of pest and disease control in a modern and sustainable manner using an IPM system.

    Qualifications

  • Have a minimum of 10 years of hands-on experience of which a minimum of 5 years at managerial level. Excellent communication and reporting writing skills.
  • Proficiency inEmail, Microsoft Excel and Word.

  • Ensure quality policy is implemented and maintained by packhouse staff.
  • Ensure traceability of products in the process and maintain proper records.

  • Have a minimum of 5 years experience in a quality control position in the horticultural industry.
