Role overview

The key objective of this assignment is to support in the development of the life skills and induct ToT’s who will then cascade the training to the girls to the benefit of the identified 5000 marginalized and vulnerable out of school girls, 30% of whom will be girls with disability in Garissa, Kilifi, Isioo,Migori and Kisumu.

The category of the Out of School girls targeted by the project will include among others the following: The delivery of the training will be cognizant of the vulnerabilities of the target group including the needs of the girls with disability, young mothers and their children.

Skills, qualifications and experience

The successful individual should have the following experience and competencies:

  • Expert knowledge of Human Rights Based Approaches, legal framework, health and the law; Displays cultural, gender, religion and age sensitivity and Adaptability;
  • Advanced University degree in the Social Sciences; with a
    Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience is required.
  • Verifiable expertise and experience in designing and delivering Life Skills Training
  • Desirable – Experience in implementing Girls’ Empowerment projects
  • Desirable: fluency in Kiswahili
