    Role Overview

  • This is a national volunteer role responsible for Implementation of catchment-based mentorship in the health facility, Bring contextual relevance to the project and primary actor.

  • The volunteer will also be Liaise with different project stakeholders, local private sectors and youth themselves towards aspired objectives.

  • This is not a paid job but a volunteering opportunity to give back to the community we are part of. However, a modest amount of stipend will be given to support the living expense of volunteers.

    Job Requirements

    The ideal applicant for this opportunity:

  • Has at least first degree in midwifery

  • Is an Ethiopian well aware of the national health service context particularly around maternal and newborn health

  • Has previous experience in community work and voluntarism

  • Has a minimum of two years relevant work experience.

  • Has basic computer skills

  • Should have a potential for leadership; this could be shown through participation in community initiatives

  • Is between the age of 21 and 29 years

  • Has the ability to satisfactorily communicate in English

  • Have a passion for volunteering

  • Can commit himself/herself to a full-time 5 months volunteering programme
