Vodafone Global Enterprise Executive Head: VodaPay E-Commerce Jobs in South Africa



Role purpose:

  • Own the VodaPay E-Commerce strategy and execution thereof

  • Drive commercial and technical development discussions with external partners across a broad cross-section of sectors

  • Understand the core needs of both customers and Mini App partners on the VodaPay platform and translating these opportunities to drive the overall prioritization and commercialization strategy for VodaPay commerce solutions.

  • Lead and manage a team of commercial managers, partner growth leads and product managers

    Your responsibilities will include

  • Develop and lead the VodaPay E-commerce strategic roadmap driven by in-depth analysis of customer needs, insights and partner offers

  • Own KPIs relating to the VodaPay E-commerce P&L

  • Lead a team that analyses, builds and executes strategies for driving E-commerce GMV growth.

  • Maintain a thorough understanding of key levers that drives e-commerce sales and have a passion for continuous improvement around owned and third-party site customer experience.

  • Identify and establish business and technical relationships with new partners

  • Manage complex partner negotiations

    The ideal candidate for this role will have:

    Must have technical/professional qualifications:

  • Professional qualification in commerce, information technology, engineering or an equivalent qualification

  • MBA and/or leadership courses will be advantageous

  • Minimum of 10 years working experience, Experience in management consulting, E-Commerce, fintech, or tech company

  • Excellent commercial and direct marketing acumen

  • Strong business acumen and an in-depth understanding of financial services

  • Digital UX and digital transaction expertise

  • Excellent stakeholder management and collaboration skills

  • Proven track record of commercial product delivery within a technology enabled environment

  • Expert analytical and data driven decision making skills

    Core competencies, knowledge, and experience:

  • Expert understanding of E-commerce, and mobile customer engagement including platform analytics

  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to minimize overhead tasks for the team and manage interdependencies with other teams

  • Excellent relationship building and influencing skills, with the ability to foster an inclusive team culture

  • Excellent verbal and written
    communications and collaboration skills

  • Excellent business & financial acumen and understanding of the role of the capability in contributing to business value

  • In-depth understanding of both the current Telecommunications and digital. services market and emerging business and technology trends

  • A strong customer-centric focus and intuition, with an entrepreneurial and ROL mindset

  • Ability to function with a high degree of autonomy

  • Strong time-management skills, with the ability to juggle multiple balls, and comfortable working under pressure

  • Data-driven decision making

  • Proven success in working within dynamic and complex environments, with the ability to rally teams and influence stakeholders of various levels

  • Experience engaging and influencing C-level executives

  • Strong commercial acumen across digital industries with the ability to coordinate legal, technical and commercial teams to develop and close high-profile partnerships

  • Track record of partner account management, relationship building and commercial management skills with E-Commerce experience a plus

  • Strong project management, organizational, and planning skills in order to delegate and juggle multiple tasks, make sense of a sea of information, and layout strategies relevant to business growth

  • Outstanding research and analytical abilities in order to identify products strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.

  • Ability to think strategically and see the big picture while knowing how to execute tactically
