Victory Farms Head of Supply Chain Jobs in Kenya
Key Responsibilities
Logistics and Distribution
Run daily distribution of fresh fish nationwide, ensuring cold‑chain integrity.
Manage inbound feed logistics from local mills and imports to the farm.
Oversee inbound logistics of all materials from suppliers to operational sites.
Own fleet and transport strategy including route planning, vehicle utilization, 3PL contracts, and cost per kilogram moved.
Warehousing and Inventory
Oversee warehouse and stores network with strict stock accuracy and FEFO/FIFO controls.
Plan inventory for feed, packaging, spares, and consumables to prevent stock‑outs.
Procurement
Build and lead Kenya procurement team covering category buying, sourcing, imports coordination, and P2P analysis.
Own local sourcing for Opex, services, consumables, and CapEx at best total cost.
Enforce P2P discipline with clean supplier data, PO management, and audit‑ready records.
Execute Group‑led framework agreements in‑country.
Imports and Customs
Own end‑to‑end import process for feed, CapEx, spares, and materials.
Manage import documentation (IDF, invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, permits, licenses).
Ensure correct HS code classification and accurate duty/tax computation.
Manage KEBS PVoC conformity and regulatory approvals.
Lodge and track customs entries via KRA iCMS and manage clearing agents.
Control demurrage, storage, and detention exposure through disciplined clearance planning.
Maintain audit‑ready import records and SOPs updated with regulatory changes.
Planning and Performance
Drive weekly and monthly supply planning with Operations, Sales, and Finance.
Own supply chain KPIs: OTIF delivery, cost per kg, stock accuracy, PO compliance, import lead times.
Lead cost‑reduction programs across logistics, distribution, and procurement.
Leadership
Lead,
coach, and develop a multi‑site team of managers, buyers, coordinators, and clerks.
Champion ERP adoption and data quality across supply chain transactions.
Group Collaboration
Report solid‑line to MD Kenya and dotted‑line to Group Supply Chain Director.
Deliver against Group standards for sourcing, imports, and procurement frameworks.
Qualifications & Requirements
10+ years of progressive supply chain experience in Kenya/East Africa, with 4+ years leading procurement, warehousing, and logistics.
Background in FMCG, food and beverage, dairy, edible oils, or consumer goods manufacturing/distribution.
Hands‑on experience with perishables and cold‑chain distribution preferred.
Deep imports and customs expertise including IDF, HS classification, duty/tax computation, KEBS/PVoC conformity, and KRA iCMS entries.
Strong ERP‑driven procure‑to‑pay discipline with clean audit record.
