Victory Farms Flight Operations Assistant Jobs in Kenya;The Flight Operations Assistant will support the safe, efficient, and well‑coordinated execution of drone missions across Victory Farms operations. The role involves preparing missions, coordinating field activities, handling equipment, maintaining accurate flight documentation, and managing operational data to ensure every mission is properly planned, safely conducted, and completed in line with established SOPs.
Responsibilities
Mission Preparation and Field Operations
Assist drone pilots with daily flight preparation and field setup.
Act as secondary spotter and relay operator to drone pilots.
Support pre‑flight and post‑flight checks of drones, batteries, controllers, and accessories.
Assist with setting up take‑off and landing areas.
Act as field assistant/visual observer during drone missions.
Support pilots during pond mapping, monitoring, photography, transport, and other missions.
Maintain safe operating areas around drone launch and landing zones.
Follow established drone SOPs and instructions from the Drone Team Manager and pilots.
Data and File Management
Transfer drone photographs, videos, and other captured data after missions.
Organize files according to approved naming and storage procedures.
Upload and maintain drone operational records in designated systems.
Assist with maintaining flight logs and mission records.
Support basic data organization for mapping and analysis activities.
Equipment and Maintenance Support
Assist with routine cleaning and inspection of drone equipment.
Report damaged, missing, or malfunctioning equipment to the pilot or Drone Team Manager.
Maintain battery records and equipment inventories.
Support proper storage and organization of drone equipment.
Assist with routine preventive maintenance activities.
Safety and Compliance
Follow all drone safety procedures and operational instructions.
Support compliance with KCAA requirements and Victory Farms aviation procedures.
Report safety concerns, incidents, equipment damage, or operational risks immediately.
Maintain confidentiality and responsible handling of operational data.
Participate in safety briefings and operational training.
Team and Farm Coordination
Coordinate respectfully with farm teams during drone activities.
Communicate planned drone activities to relevant field teams.
Support scheduling and preparation of field missions.
Work effectively with pilots, data personnel, farm teams, and other departments.
Demonstrate punctuality, teamwork, accountability, and willingness to learn.
Qualifications / Work Experience
Academic KCSE / High School Diploma.
Professional Basic computer literacy, including email and file management tools.
Professional Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
Professional Willingness to learn drone operations and technology.
Knowledge & Skills Required
Strong attention to detail.
Good organization and time‑management skills.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to follow instructions and SOPs.
Basic problem‑solving ability.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Physical ability to support field operations around ponds and farm facilities.
Willingness to travel between Victory Farms operational sites.
Desirable
Previous exposure to drones, aviation, surveying, GIS, photography, agriculture, aquaculture, or field operations.
Experience working with digital equipment or field data.
Basic knowledge of drone safety.
Previous farm or field‑based work experience.
