Victory Farms Drone Data Analyst Jobs in Kenya;The Drone Data Analyst will manage, process, analyse, and transform drone‑generated data into practical insights that support farm operations, environmental monitoring, mapping, planning, and decision‑making. The role involves working closely with the Drone Operations Team to deliver reliable data products that improve operational efficiency and data‑driven planning.
Responsibilities
Drone Data Management
Manage and organize drone‑generated datasets.
Maintain repositories for imagery, maps, flight data, and outputs.
Ensure accurate naming, storage, version control, and archiving.
Coordinate with drone pilots to ensure required datasets are captured.
Maintain metadata for drone missions and datasets.
Drone Imagery Processing
Process aerial imagery using drone equipment.
Generate orthomosaics, DEMs, point clouds, and spatial outputs.
Process multispectral imagery for vegetation/environmental analysis.
Conduct image quality checks before analysis.
Support processing of datasets from multiple farm sites.
GIS & Spatial Analysis
Develop and maintain GIS layers and spatial databases.
Conduct spatial analysis using drone and geospatial datasets.
Produce maps for planning, monitoring, and environmental assessment.
Support analysis of pond infrastructure, vegetation, flood risk, drainage, and irrigation.
Integrate drone data with existing GIS and operational datasets.
Data Analysis & Visualization
Analyse drone datasets to identify trends and insights.
Conduct vegetation and multispectral analysis.
Prepare charts, maps, dashboards, and visual outputs.
Translate technical data into clear information for non‑technical users.
Support development of data‑driven solutions for farm operations.
Data Product & Tool Development
Design data products and visualizations to improve access.
Support development of interactive maps and dashboards.
Assist in prototypes using drone/spatial data for operational problems.
Improve workflows for collecting, processing, and sharing drone data.
Quality Control & Documentation
Conduct QA on processed datasets and outputs.
Identify errors, gaps, or inconsistencies.
Maintain documentation of workflows and
procedures.
Keep records of analyses and deliverables.
Operational Support
Work with drone pilots to define data requirements.
Provide feedback on imagery/data quality.
Participate in field activities and ground verification.
Support farm teams with drone‑derived information.
Assist Drone Team Manager in planning data requirements.
Qualifications / Work Experience
Academic Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in GIS, Geospatial Science, Surveying, Remote Sensing, Geography, Geomatics, Data Science, Computer Science, Environmental Science, Agriculture, or related discipline.
Professional 1–2 years’ relevant experience.
Professional Knowledge of GIS software (QGIS/ArcGIS), coordinate systems, raster/vector datasets, and remote sensing.
Professional Experience processing or analysing drone imagery (desirable).
Professional Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, dataset organization, and visualization.
Professional Skills in photogrammetry, multispectral imagery, orthomosaic/DEM generation, terrain modelling, spatial databases, dashboards, Python scripting (advantage).
Professional Knowledge of aquaculture, agriculture, or environmental monitoring (advantage).
