We are looking for a talented Marketing Assistant to undertake marketing projects for the benefit of our company.

You will organize creative campaigns and promotional events that can make a difference for our company’s success according to trends and customer requirements.

The ideal candidate will be passionate for the “art” of marketing and will have an abundance of ideas for building efficient strategies.

He/she must bring forth a strong arsenal of techniques and methods to promote our products, services and public image.

The goal is to reach out to the market and cultivate the customer’s interest in our products and services in ways that strengthen our reputation and facilitate our continuous growth.

The Purpose of the Job:

Marketing Assistant will be involved in developing marketing campaigns to promote the company’s range of products. It is a varied role that includes planning, content management, digital marketing, advertising, public relations, media relations, event management, product development, distribution, sponsorship and market research and intelligence

Duties and Responsibilities

create awareness of and develop the brands you’re marketing

communicate with target audiences and build and develop customer relationships

help with marketing plans, advertising, direct marketing and campaigns

support the marketing manager in delivering agreed activities

source advertising opportunities and place adverts in the press or on the radio

work closely with in-house or external creative agencies to design marketing materials such as brochures and adverts

write and proofread marketing copy for both online and print campaigns

produce creative content, including videos and blog posts

run social media channels (e.g. Twitter, Facebook and LinkedIn) to enhance audience engagement

organise and attend events such as conferences, seminars, receptions and exhibitions
source and secure sponsorship

liaise with designers and printers and organise photo shoots

arrange the effective distribution of marketing materials

maintain and update customer

databases
conduct market research, for example using customer questionnaires and focus groups
develop relationships with key stakeholders both internal and external.

With experience, you’ll need to:

develop and implement a marketing strategy (often as part of a wider sales and marketing programme)

evaluate and review marketing campaigns, advertising and SEO to make sure the correct mediums are being used and campaigns are effective

track marketing performance and return on investment and prepare weekly or monthly reports for management

monitor and report on competitor activity

lead external agencies, when appropriate, to effectively manage events, press relationships, editorial requests, presentations, promotional materials and online activities

oversee and manage the marketing budget.

Requirements

Proven experience of an intern and or at least 1 year as a Marketing Assistant in a well-established company.

This is an entry level position an extensive training will be provided to the successful candidate.

Good understanding of market research techniques, data analysis and statistics methods

Thorough knowledge of strategic planning principles and marketing best practices

Proficient in MS Office

Familiarity with social media and web analytics

Excellent communication and people skills

Strong organizational and time-management abilities

Creativity and commercial awareness

Degree in marketing or relevant discipline
