Utalii College Hospitality Manager Jobs in Kenya

Kenya Utalii College (KUC) is a leading African hospitality and tourism training institution. Established 47 years ago the College has trained over 60,000 graduates from around the world who continue to serve in the local and international hospitality and tourism industry.

The College opened its doors in 1975 and was established under the Hotels and Restaurants Act, (Cap. 494, Laws of Kenya) which has since been replaced by the Tourism Act, 2011.

Job Responsibilities

Co-ordinating all the operations at the Bomas of Kenya as an independent profit center

Developing the center budget in terms of both revenues and expenditures to ensure that it is within the approved allocation

Ensuring sound financial management of the center through controlling expenditures, cash flows (payables & receivables) and instituting effective control systems to achieve the hotel’s financial obligations

Preparing financial reports for management that clearly explains operational effectiveness, trends and variances to monitor financial status of the hotel

Approving all center expenditure and payments to facilitate the smooth running of the center through controlling the budgets

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in hospitality from a recognized institution

Certificate in HACCP

Six (6) years working experience, three (3) of which must have been in a senior management position

Membership of professional body where applicable

Attended Leadership Course lasting not less than four (4) weeks from a recognized

institution

Demonstrate results in work performance

Meets the provisions of Chapter Six of the Constitution of Kenya
