Job Description
Overall finance responsibilities
Ensure the completeness and accuracy of all financial information and records for company’s share holders
Ensure effective financial control is maintained at all times at the office;
Provide strategic and technical support to the COO;
Ensure strong and effective working relationships with the other teams within UT Solutions based on a spirit of collaboration and collective responsibility.
Approve payments and bank transfers
where required in accordance with UT Solutions financial policies, documents and authorized bank mandates.
Review and sign off all monthly balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring that control accounts are fully reconciled and other balance sheet account balances as fully analyzed and validated;
Manage UT Solution’s cash, including overall responsibility for managing all banking relationships, reviewing monthly cash forecasts and cash transfer.
Ensure that overhead cost recovery is maximized in accordance with UT Solutions project cost and budget.
Support the business development team when necessary in preparing budgets for submission alongside project proposals to tenders, ensuring that budgets are based on credible assumptions, and are prepared on a full cost recovery basis;
Manage the audit of the company’s annual accounts, acting as the key liaison between the finance team and the audit team;
Team leadership and cross-team collaboration
Other duties as requested by the Manager.
Job Requirements
Essential
BSc Degree from recognized university
Good knowledge of different accounting systems
Knowledge of Peachtree and Zoho system (Desirable)
Experience
At least two years’ management experience in an organisation of similar size and complexity to company (annual turnover approx. ETB 20million)
Excellent communication skills and Strong technical accounting knowledge
Ability to present complex financial information clearly to a non-finance audience
Excellent time management of self and team; able to multi-task and priorities workload; works well under pressure; meets deadlines
Advanced MS Excel skills, Outlook Email system and Cloud based financial systems.
