Key Responsibilities

  • Teach at undergraduate/graduate level in the specific areas of specialization as listed above.
  • Support and mentor students in their career endeavors.
  • Participate in curriculum development activities to ensure that the programs are up-to-date and marketable.
  • Participate in program assessment and reviews.
  • Engage in research in one’s area of expertise.
  • Engage in service to the University, the profession and to the community.
  • Perform any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.
  • Minimum Educational Qualifications and

    Professional Experience

    Lecturer

  • Ph.D. or equivalent degree qualification in related discipline from an accredited University;
  • At least three (3) years of teaching experience in a University or equivalent institution of higher learning;
  • At least four (4) equivalent publication points as per the CUE Standards & Guidelines ,2014;
  • Been registered by the relevant professional body;

    Assistant Professor

  • Must have a Ph.D. or equivalent degree qualification in the relevant area from an accredited University;
  • At least 3 years’ teaching/research experience at the university level as a Lecturer/Research Fellow;
  • Must have published at least six (6) equivalent publication points as a
  • Lecturer/Research Fellow as per the CUE Standards & Guidelines ,2014;
  • Supervised at least four (4) postgraduate students to completion as Lecturer/Research Fellow;
  • Been registered by the relevant professional body.

    Associate Professor

  • Must have a Ph.D. or equivalent degree qualification in the relevant area from an accredited University;
  • At least 3 years’ teaching/research at the university level as a Senior Research Fellow;
  • Must have published at least eight (8) equivalent publication points as a Senior Lecturer /Senior Research Fellow as per the CUE Standards & Guidelines ,2014;
  • Supervised at least five (5) postgraduate students to completion, including one doctoral student, and attracted research funds as a Senior
  • Lecturer /Senior Research Fellows.

    Professor

  • Must have a Ph.D. or equivalent degree qualification in the relevant area from an accredited University;
  • At least 3 years’ teaching and research experience since being appointed Associate Professor/Associate Research Professor;
  • At least ten equivalent publication points since attaining Associate Professorship as per the CUE Standards & Guidelines ,2014;
  • Supervised at least six (6) postgraduate students to completion, two of whom must be doctoral students, and attracted research funds since attaining Associate Professorship.

    USIU Chief Manager Jobs in Kenya


    Key Responsibilities

  • Formulate programs aimed at strengthening the capacity of USIU-Africa to harness potential of partnerships and institutional linkages;
  • Provide policy directions and inputs in promoting and managing engagement with the partners mentioned above and to define parameters and guidelines for such partnerships;
  • Cultivate and coordinate partnerships with research organizations, private sector, international agencies, national government agencies and other organizations categorized above to mobilize donations, cooperative agreements, volunteer work, and other similar undertakings to fulfill the aspirations of USIU-Africa;
  • Organize and provide leadership to multi-stakeholder alliances, consortia, committees, task forces, or technical working groups involved in promoting higher education and research;
  • Assist and support the Director for University Advancement, Vice Chancellor and other relevant University functions in cultivating stakeholder relations for advancement of the University;
  • Working with the stakeholders to define issues, formulate
    plans and implement interventions through a multi-stakeholder effort;
  • Provide clearing house services for all partnerships and external linkages including bilateral and multi-lateral cooperation;
  • Establish and maintain a database of all partnerships; ensuring adherence to relevant agreements;
  • Monitor and report on progress of partnerships and linkages in fulfilling the aspirations of the University;
  • Engage in all other responsibilities and activities for achievement of the University objectives.
  • Minimum Educational Qualifications and

    Professional Experience

  • A master’s degree in business-related studies, communications or international relations from an accredited university.
  • At least three years of demonstrated management experience of multi-level and cross-cultural relations in an international environment.

    USIU Lecturer Jobs in Kenya

    Key Responsibilities

  • Provide support in planning for annual program assessments and program reviews by schools.
  • Maintain up-to-date records of assessment plans and reports for programs from all schools.
  • Liaise with school administrators to coordinate program assessment and program review teams from the various schools.
  • Liaise with school administrators to assess, categorize, document and plan for training of assessment and review teams.
  • Coordinate the evaluation of program assessment and review reports.
  • Follow up school administrators on implementation of program improvements arising from assessment and review.
  • Document program improvements resulting from assessment and review.
  • Initiate the development and/or revision of the instruments which support program assessment and review.
  • Prepare regular reports on the issues emerging from mid and end of semester students’ evaluation of course instruction, and advice on areas that need addressing.
  • Support the planning for annual assessment symposium.
  • Support the TK 20 Task stream automation of program assessment and review.
  • Dis-aggregate, analyze, disseminate and prepare reports, including written, graphical, and tabular presentations, for program assessments.
  • Teach at least one course per year.
  • Conduct research in areas of program assessment and review.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

    Qualifications and Professional Experience

  • A Ph. D or equivalent degree, from an accredited university, preferably in curriculum development and instruction or any other relevant field in Education.
  • At least three years’ experience with instruction and assessment at university level.
