U.S. Embassy to Kenya A/V Engineering and Production Coordinator Jobs; The AV Engineering & Production Coordinator is responsible for the technical management of Mission audiovisual (AV) and multimedia programs for ICASS subscribers.

The role independently plans, produces and executes complex live, hybrid and virtual events while ensuring seamless technical operation of AV systems.

Duties

Multimedia Management & Technical Support – 40%

  • Manage and maintain multimedia, TV and IPTV systems.

  • Administer internal digital signage and multimedia channels.

  • Perform installation, configuration and integration of AV systems.

  • Provide technical expertise for AV equipment procurement and upgrades.

    Internal Communications & Digital Media Production – 25%

  • Oversee creation and delivery of multimedia content for internal audiences.

  • Produce videos, podcasts, training materials and event content.

    Event Support & Coordination – 15%

  • Provide advanced AV support for internal events.

  • Oversee end‑to‑end AV requirements including planning, testing and execution.

  • Support virtual and hybrid meetings using DOS‑approved platforms.

    Training, Knowledge Management & Cybersecurity – 10%

  • Develop professional skills and stay updated on new technologies.

  • Document solutions, problems and corrective actions.

  • Maintain knowledgebase articles and technical documentation.

    Projects & Administrative Support – 10%

  • Manage or participate in DT projects.

  • Provide budget estimates, progress updates and documentation.

  • Coordinate project management activities across missions.

    Qualifications & Evaluations

    Requirements

  • Must be able to obtain and hold a security clearance.

    Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in audiovisual production, multimedia, communications, audio engineering, information technology or related field (Required).
