Duties

Incumbent performs manual work in the warehouse and Embassy offices, helping to load and unload USG property and helps to maintain a clean warehouse. The incumbent will also be required to drive a Box Truck to deliver requested supplies and furniture to both offices and residences. Safely unloads incoming supplies, breaking down pallet loads opening packing boxes in the warehouse, residences and offices using the Forklift and other existing handling equipment. This position is supervised by the Warehouse Supervisor.

Qualifications and Evaluations

Experience:

One year of warehouse experience, or equivalent combination of warehouse and laborer experience is required.

Education Requirements:

Completion of Senior Secondary school is required.

Evaluations:

Language:

Good Working Knowledge (speaking/reading/writing) of English is required. English Language proficiency may be tested.

Limited Knowledge (speaking) of either Bemba or Nyanja is required.

Skills and Abilities:

Must be capable of performing arduous physical work. A valid Class C driving license is required. The incumbent must be able to lift or move loads of up to 40KGs in weight. Good communication, organizational and time management skills are required.
