Duties

The position is located in the Human Resources (HR) Office at the front desk and as such, requires the incumbent to be professional to greet and assist all visitors and callers to the office.

Incumbent will be the customer service provider for all walk-ins to the HR section as well as answering phone inquiries transferred by the switchboard. Provides assistance with basic functions including but not limited to handling paper flow, preparing routine documents, logistics for events, and assuring that information is properly shared between different sections of the HR office.

Qualifications and Evaluations

Experience:

Minimum one (1) year of progressively responsible experience in administrative or clerical field is required.

Job Knowledge:

Basic understanding of the host country laws pertaining to personnel functions performed.

Good working knowledge of USG policies, regulations and procedures is required.

Completion of Secondary School is required

English - Good working knowledge is required. (This may be tested)

One additional South African official language level - Good working knowledge is required. (This may be tested)

Skills and Abilities :

Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power point, Outlook, and Internet). (This may be tested)

Must have excellent customer service and communication skills to manage in-person and telephone contacts.

Must be organized, diligent and able to work under pressure. Good interpersonal relationships are required.
